On A Bus is comedy GOLD. Katie has NO EXPERIENCE and she chose a table full of PROFESSIONAL DMS. They got MATT MERCER only for Katie to call him her FAVORITE in the same sentence as calling him MARK. There is NO STRUCTURE to the campaign. The entire point was to BREAK BRENNAN. It WORKED. Even AABRIA got flabbergasted, appalled; we heard Brennan let out the same “no” he did when BRITISH KRISTEN said blimey and cast a successful divine intervention, which made Brennan threaten to QUIT. Matt, king, desperately tried to HELP Katie’s world make sense when her entire goal was CHAOS. Katie introduces herself as the DRAGON MASTER. IN A ROOM FULL OF DUNGEON MASTERS. MY PEOPLE. THEIR FACES. Four DMs came to a dnd table without dice, meaning Katie must have told them to bring NOTHING. The only dice on the table were d6s on an episode of dimension TWENTY. Rick Perry had Absolutely no say in the set. The setting was destroyed within the first ten minutes. Katie gives LINT and a SINGULAR M&M as minis. Aabria EATS the m&m within thirty seconds. They battle NOTHING. Katie knows enough to say AIR to BRENNAN, MATT, AND AABRIA, to which Brennan Freaks. Katie successfully breaks three out of the four people at the table. The AC of the bus is 6 on a d6. The players DO NOT know who they are. A piece of lint destroys the bus in one hit. There is maybe(????) an episode two. Pure fucking gold. AGAIN THEY GOT MATT MERCER ON D20 FOR TEN MINUTES.

i say this with all due respect of an old that's been doing this longer than you've been alive:
no.
a lot of times we're flying by the seat of our pants. if you want to see meaning there, go for it. that's what art is for. on the other hand, when the creator tells you, "yeah, it's just cos?" then there really isn't any other deeper meaning, and the ones that say there is, are full of shit.
I say this as a writer, currently going to university to learn how to be a professional writer:
It’s never “just a video game/movie/tv show/book/etc.” the curtains aren’t just blue the curtains are blue for a reason. There is always double meanings and metaphors behind what you are consuming. It calls for you to have critical thinking skills and examine what you are consuming.
Even something minute as the colour scheme of a scene is important! As colour sets tone!
Every choice is deliberate, always pay attention. I promise you professionals know what they’re doing and are doing it intentionally.

sorry if i'm gonna be quiet for a while. my country recently introduced laws that make it so that in order to use social media to the fullest (not being able to view ns/fw content and in a few cases, not even having access to dms), i HAVE to give the sites my id/face scan.
it goes into effect july 25th. it'll probably effect here too, since this place allows mature content (tho not full on ns/fw)
i'm very distressed about it bc i might end up not even being able to talk to my internet friends. i don't really have any irl ones
if i have to disappear on most socials by then, you know why.

I feel I have fallen into the world of writing fanfiction and I cannot escape.
Does anyone know how to not be so caught up on “omg no one else wants to read this specific story”?

Aiming while moving: super useful historically, but much less common in modern archery. It’s still great for modern pratting about though!

So I've got this friend whose nervous because she's trans and dating this guy who she hasn't told yet because they've only been on a two dates. For this story let's call the friend Jane and the guy she was dating Jason. Happy ending don't worry. So I tell Jane to bring her boy over to a bbq I'm having and she can tell him she's trans at my place surrounded by queer and trans people who love her and will support her if he ends up being awful. She waits till the end of the bbq to tell him the news, by which point the rest of us have learned that Jason is a kind, friendly, empathetic, hard working, dummy. So we sit down, all of us a little worried about this gym bro's reaction when she tells him she's trans, and that she understands if he doesn't want to keep dating her it's no big deal. He's baffled, so we explain what trans is, and after the disclosure that she hasn't had bottom surgery yet... "Oh you have a dick?" "... yeah." He look's around at the room full of people with baited breath, his clearly a little afraid girl friend says "Oooohhhh! I get it! You think- don't worry Babe! Watch this!"
And ya'll this man jumps up, runs into the kitchen and returns with one of the bratwurst we had for grilling and proceeds to tilt his head back, put it down his throat, hold it in his mouth for a moment, and spit it up without even a whisper of a gag and then looks around at the group absolutely beaming with pride. My mans saw his worried girlfriend and her support network and thought to him self "Oh they don't think I can please my girl but I'll show them!"
