I looked at my children with tears in my eyes and thought, How can I protect you? We had to flee our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We left behind my children’s toys, their clothes, and their beautiful bedroom. Everything we had worked so hard to build is gone.

Our Current Reality Now, we are displaced and living in a nightmare. Food is scarce, and prices are unimaginably high—$10 for a kilo of sugar! The fear of death hangs over us constantly. My children deserve a life of joy and hope, not one defined by fear and loss. Why can’t we live like everyone else—go to work, visit family, and watch our children play in safety? Why do our children have to grow up surrounded by death and destruction?

i was just idly looking at the bookmarks on one of my fics and, nestled in between somebody's perfunctory tags (hurt/comfort, soft boys, completed etc) was a tag very simply named 'WOW' ...and, well. feck me backwards if that didn't make my whole goddamn day ×10 better lol.

my dudes, i can assure you that the above is often all it takes to make a writer's/artist's heart bloom with happiness.

so, i urge you to reblog! reblog! reblog! here on tumblr dot com and try to say something kind in the tags, a mere keysmash even.

on AO3, always leave kudos if you read fic or look at art there and—whenever and wherever you possibly can—comment to your hearts content, even if that is only more keysmash or just one word or a wee emoji (or a few!). also, if you bookmark publicly, try to tag it with something complimentary like my reader did or leave a nice description as a part of your recommendation because the author gets to see those things, too.

I’m really truly trying to not become a steddie fan account but I just finished my rewatch and my dash is full of them

Steve ‘I was neglected as a child so I don’t think anyone truly Wants to go through the Chore of loving me’ Harrington vs Eddie ‘overdramatic wears his heart on his sleeve’ Munson.

Steve’s only experience with love is the ex-girlfriend who faked it until she called him bullshit, the girls he only went out with bc he wanted to keep up the image (which usually meant he put in all the effort like complementing them and getting them flowers) and a lesbian his 15 year old best friend tricked him into liking

But Eddie’s over here performing medieval courting rituals because he’s a gay nerd and calls Steve every pet name under the sun. I’m not saying he’s smooth about it, he’s anything but smooth but it makes Steve blush either way so he keeps doing it, Steve almost cried when he showed up with flowers and had to take a minute to process when Eddie opened the car door for him because no one’s ever put in the same amount (if not more) effort into a relationship with him.

He’s never had anyone obsessed with him (the people at high school don’t count cause they liked with King Steve) but Eddie practically worships the ground he stands on, he’ll go to Family Video with the intention of seeing Steve and then nearly pass out from having too much love when he sees Steve because he’s physically incapable of not showering him in affection

basically ‘doesn’t think they’re worthy of love x loves them like it’s breathing’ but they’re a emotionally repressed ex-jock and a nerd who plays dnd religiously

ohhhkay i just saw some destiel ai on here that i wish did not exist. i've also been seeing destiel ai clips circulating on twitter as well. listen guys i know how badly we all want to see dean and cas kiss and be in love on our screens, ok i get it. but can we please not resort to creating ai videos of them like that?

and i see all these comments and tags saying shit like 'i'm against ai but this is the only acceptable use of it' but like... no?? it's still not appropriate at all to use ai in that way. have you considered that this is the very reason actors and writers went on strike in 2023? like hello! it was because of AI being used in hollywood in similar ways to this! god forbid the actors and/or writers see this stuff and get uncomfortable or upset about it (and rightfully so!!).

i'm not going to name any names or link the post i'm referring to because this is not meant to start a fight, but i would really rather not jeopardize our already fairly slim chance of getting ACTUAL REAL destiel in a potential supernatural reboot because people couldn't be patient and respectful.

like i'm sorry but we as a fandom have to stay firm on our anti-AI values. we cannot suddenly start giving AI a pass when it's something we "want to see" like destiel kisses. it's not suddenly fine. we're not going to start using AI to make fanfic scenes come to life or audio AI to make characters "say" stuff we want to hear. you have GOT to be firm on your anti-AI stance. if you start making exceptions then suddenly anything will fly. fandom is for real art and creations made by real people. no AI fanfics. no AI art. no AI rendered "bonus" scenes. no AI audio. none of it has a place here.

Help a disabled woman to keep her utilities on!!

Thursday, October 17th: Hello, everyone. I’m Gem, a bi, mentally ill, and disabled woman in desperate need of help as I'm struggling to keep my utilities on, which are almost out of credit!!!

I apologize for asking for help again; as most of you know from my previous posts, I have been struggling quite a lot to make ends meet while on welfare benefits and due to my rent arrears and ever-increasing debt. And to be quite honest, these past few months have been absolute hell for me, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

Thanks to that kindness, I have managed to pay my rent arrears and overdue debt, but a few bills slipped through, which left me with no money to keep my utilities on. I don't receive my welfare until the 31st, and I could use some help.

I know this is a lot to ask, but if anyone could spare any amount to help me, even if it’s just £1/$1/€1, it would save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much.
