ok so I found out about a character while reading JSA. His name is Hop Harrigan. One of the earliest aviation heroes in comics

but that's not what this post is about

This post is about one of his short stints as a superhero

no not that one. That's Guardian Angel and while it might be possible to connect it with guardian lore I'm thinking of something else

This is his second superhero look. Unlike the first one this was after the war. Notice his wardrobe. Does it remind you of anyone?

If you said Alan Scott, you'd be correct! This alias of his is named "Black Lamp" an obvious play on Green Lantern (he was a backup feature there)

Anyways we should bring Hop back as a Black Lantern or rather Black Lamp who uses a black lantern ring
