Rev Driver AU Update

hello people, it's been a while.

during this time, I started making some changes on my THW AU. I've also started to draw digitally (which is a huge thing for me), and I'm currently still learning.

So, here's his full lore updated:

Phil helped Larry in the garage since he was 15 or 16, just like the boys. 

He was raised by a divorced mother, his father was a CEO of an tech and engineering company, who gave them a few money sometimes. His mother had two jobs, Phil used to be alone at the apartment until he found the garage. Everyday after school, he'd stay in to help Larry. 

Because he was very talented and hard-working, Larry began to have affection for him, and treated him like a son. So, he decided to trust him with the construction of the Rev Rod car and its cloud engine. 

But Larry was being too cautious for Phil. He believed that the car could create more than just tracks. This led to a fight that eventually separated them for 5 years. But one day, he returned, and decided to steal Rev, causing chaos in the city from the cloud engine. This led to the formation of Team Hot Wheels. 

(REDEMPTION ARC, following the events of Origin of Awesome): After Team Hot Wheels finally defeats him, Phil confesses that he not only wanted to expand Rev's power, but he also wanted Larry's validation. The two eventually meet again, and Larry offers him the position of assistant in the garage. A little hesitantly, he accepts, but forgiveness isn't easy. But both of them are learning, so that's what counts.

I've made this a month ago, and his design was changed a little bit, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Say hi to my "humanized version" of Rev, Philip Reeves. Thought that their interaction would be quite interesting, plus drawing Wheelie (@team-hot-wheels-imaginators oc) was quite fun!

THW in a nutshell.

"Wait a minute, so you're saying that you controlled a car powered by a cloud engine that allows the pilot to create anything you can imagine, modifying an entire city, probably causing the death of some people, creating chaos and panic, just so that you could later bring us together to form a team of heroes to protect the city from possible threats to YOUR technology?"

"Yeah."

"..."

"Oh, okay."

Things I'd want in a Team Hot Wheels series.

They had so much potential to have a TV show tbh, but since there's none, here's what I would add:

- topics like maturing and trauma. Having the responsibility of protecting the city at such a young age (which I especulate for them to be 14-16) must be and is overwhelming. It's not always fun and games.

- angst. Pretty much the same reason as the first one.

- mild violence, visible injuries, BLOOD. They can literally get hurt while driving on these tracks. "Oh but they're experienced", no they're not, and even if they were, things could go wrong at any moment.

- character backstory. I know that most of the hot wheels movies/ shows are more focused on the thrill and action (which I love), but I'd really like if we knew more about the main characters.

- keep the animation style and aesthetic. Don't get me wrong, I like the 3d style of the previous movies like Acceleracers and Battle Force 5, but the 2d style of THW was what really caught my eye. I don't mind any style improvement, just keep it 2d.
