Clearly she didn’t waste any time beating around the bush. “You call it snooping and I call it search and seizure. And no, I don’t need a warrant.” Rick resumed inspecting her bag, examining the contents inside with careful precision. “Look, do you want to get hung up on technicalities or would you rather explain to me why you forgot to mention the knife you have on you when we welcomed you inside our walls.”

It wasn’t the fact she had a knife that unsettled him, but her neglect to bring it up to the council. “Alexandria doesn’t object to allowing people to have means to defend themselves but we do expect people to be honest about what they bring into our community.”

The blonde’s brows furrowed as she could only watch as the man search through her things. Her knife had been knocked out of her hands and kicked away while she had her back against a corner. Hands were up as she scowled at the other. 

As the Alexandrian would look through her bag, they would find a couple of torn journals, a box of bullets (she had handed over her two handguns at the gate), whatever food she had left, and a couple of photos.

“Kinda hard to trust people these days..” She replied bitterly. “If you’re looking for more hidden weapons... There is none. I only sneaked that knife in.”
