When I worked for an ambulance company, doing 24 hour shifts where I slept at the station, sometimes it was hard to fall asleep because you never know when the call tones would go off.

But, 90% of the time, I could get myself to fall asleep by just telling myself "At least you're getting to lay down. Just focus on how nice it is to lay down right now. Don't worry about sleep, just rest ."

One of the most life-changing things I ever learned came from Mythbusters, where they tested and proved (with cognitive testing puzzles and reaction time tests) that lying down and resting with the intention to sleep STILL provided significant mental benefits over just staying awake, even if a person couldn’t fall asleep in the amount of time they had. 

It helps me to actually sleep to know that just lying down with my eyes closed is still doing me some good, and helps me to not freak out/beat myself up when I stay up later than intended. Any amount of rest is better than no rest!

You can't convince me that this isn't how the show ended!

To Lady Arya and Ser Gendry! — Based on @mizznancywheeler‘s Idea

I think of the Arya chapters in clash of kings really showing the worst of what the war can do to the smallfolks and in the middle of it, we have Arya being incredibly traumatized but also making sure to save people (even the worst criminals) and protecting younger little girls and not abandoning kids who are (probably) mortally injured and deciding someone else who also had an horrifying traumatizing thing happened to them because of the people she is being traumatized by should get justice first, before her own safety, and I cry.

I love Arya so much and her clash of kings chapters are all very difficult to read but they are so good.
