Summary:
“Are you tired yet?” the painting asked when he slumped against the wall. Grian glared at him, and he sighed and rested his head in his hands, looking remarkably dejected for something that was probably a hallucination. “You know, Grian, it’s way nicer if you come closer to admire all my comrades in paint over here. Look at these butterflies, they’re wonderful. Just flittering about, not a care in the world, free as a leaf on the wind…”
“You’re not real,” Grian bit out, hugging his bad arm to his chest. It would’ve been smart to put it in a sling, but unfortunately those were in short supply. “What’s happened is I’ve got a concussion and I’m imagining you, and that’s why you know my name, and as soon as I’m out of here, I’ll look back on this and I’ll know for sure it was in my head.”
“You silly goose,” the painting said, “just because I’m in your head doesn’t mean I’m not real. I couldn’t do anything with you if I wasn’t in your head, now, could I?”
you guys need to draw scar's shorts shorter. joel thinks they are "way too short" so in the interest of canon compliance, you need to draw them short enough that joel would feel compelled to avert his eyes. mid thigh is not cutting it. for canon compliance. no other reason
tumblr is such a weird weird ecosystem because for the last like year and a half weve been stuck in a constant cycle of Genre of vague poetry/story trope/motif/joke format/funny word getting really really really popular, and then like 2 weeks later someone makes a post dunking on whatever the Thing of the month is and it gets like 50k notes of everyone scrambling to cover their asses and pretend that they never liked it to begin with because its not cool anymore. literally fucking stereotype highschool environment. the opinions of the entire userbase relies solely on what the popular kids say is cool it kinda sucks
you understand mumbo like no one else on this website. i have been rewatching s6 and in episode 129 (non-chronological; he shows the results of his redstone before the process) there's bit where he says "i can't test this, but you already know how it turned out, so let me know in the comments whether i've succeeded" and then he continues, somewhat abashed as is the mumbo jumbo way, "i know that's not how time works, but still, some reassurance would be nice"
you see he is very embarrassed to be sidestepping the linear progression of time, he knows it's not the done thing, he's just anxious and could you be so kind this once? "i know that's not how time works but still" translation = he knows he's meant to follow the laws of physics - everyone does it! - but oh dear that one is very inconvenient at this particular moment, so please don't mind him.

YES exactly exactly this man will apologize for breaking the flow of linear time as if he used the wrong fork to eat dessert (he is terribly sorry for making a scene)
the hermits are already predisposed towards crime and they always have been. however, they struggle due to the lack of law structures in which to commit their crimes; if nothing is illegal, what is a crime? season 10 has given them new laws, and with that, new crimes. this is enrichment for them. they are printing counterfeit diamonds and committing mail fraud and threatening to sue over breach of contract. these are signs of a healthy and thriving hermit population
