Esquisses Décoratives – René Binet
Binet’s study of Haeckel’s lithographs of radiolaria culminated in the design for his Monumental Gate, located on the Place de la Concorde, at the Eastern entrance of the Exposition Universelle (World Faire) held in Paris in 1900. Gustave Geffroy notes in his introductory foreword to Esquisses Décoratives that Binet’s main inspiration for ‘Porte Monumentale’ were a family of radiolaria known as Cyrtoidea. The design was heavily based on one radiolaria illustration alone – the Cyrtoidea Pterocanium trilobum.

I just want to be the friend that everybody deserves.
I want to let everyone know how much I love them and care about them- what a positive influence they are on my life and how grateful I am- but I get so drained so fast I never feel like I can adequately express any of that...
I’m so tired. I’m overwhelmed.
I want to take care of my loved ones, but I wish somebody would just take care of me for a moment, and help me push on.
I didn’t mean to be weak. I just wish someone would ask me what’s wrong and help me. I always wonder why nobody asks me. I feel guilty for even wanting that, too.
Please help.

I wish I could even begin to express my gratitude as wholly as is deserved.

They say my tongue’d been cut out, the sound stolen from my veins.
I know who it was, ‘The Blind Bandit’-
that cunning thief in the night.
I opened my mouth, to cry out his name,
but only blood flowed from my lips.

He doesn’t even remember writing them, anyway.
God knows where that innocence can be found now.

THERE SHOULD BE A WORD FOR:
The phenomenon in a dream, -(where you read something clear as day, but as you look away realize it might be something else ((recognize the possibilities)) )- but when you look back you find a different word/phrase, or more often complete gibberish.
