Blue eye samurai is one of the most transcendently melodramatic media experiences I've had in years. It really gets you in the head of the most violently self loathing protagonist I've ever seen whose entire life goal is to go on an elaborate revenge quest to kill the last four white men in Japan as a form of displaced suicide and then you see the guy she's trying to kill and it's Kenneth Branagh.
