UKRAINIAN SIMMERS 🇺🇦

Like so many people around the world I have been utterly horrified by the news of what is happening in Ukraine and to the Ukrainian people.

I’ve also been devastated and heartbroken to see the posts by @nocturne-vi and @wistfulpoltergeist. I don’t know either of them personally, but I’ve followed them both for a while and love their content. Seeing their posts and knowing how scared they are for themselves and their families has brought me to tears along with seeing the awful news coverage.

If like me others in the simming community are feeling the same and also feeling helpless and wondering how we can help them. I thought I would put a list of all the Ukrainian simmers together so we can do our best to support them. If they have a Patreon account or any form of account for their creative content then I was hoping we could share their details here in order for those that can afford to subscribe to them can. I know it’s not much, but it’s the only way I can think of right now.

Even if you cannot help financially by subscribing to them then at least share this post and share their content and DM me so I can add as many of their accounts to this post as I can so they know we are here for them and can show them our support.

Ferd Piatnik & Sons Default Replacement Playing Cards

Something I've been working on for a while is a set of Default Replacement Ferd Piatnik Rococo Playing Cards for our 18th Century Games.

They'll come with a costumn thumbnail and a separate default replacement ornate Incolay box.

I still need to test them in game, but I'm close to finishing them and hope to release them soon <3

Living my best 18th Century Life

Sorry it’s been a while, I’ve been going through a lot of life changes over the last year or so... all good ones. However, its meant I’ve not had much time for working on new sims items. I have though been able to have a bit of a play, time willing, and I’ve updated my 18th Century simself and her companions with awesome new content. 

My simself currently rocking one her winter outfits by the awesome @acanthus-sims​.

Magnolian Farewell Book Computer

@magnolianfarewell has very kindly allowed me to use her wonderful Open Lexicon Mesh and Textures to make a book computer.

For those simmers who remember the wonderful Lunasims Sims 3 custom content she created a wonderful book computer for use in historical games and I’ve been wanting one for Sims 4 for ages!

It’s fully functional as a computer, but won’t ruin your historical games with modern technology.

18th and 19th Century Tile Backsplash

So I’m currently laid off work for a few weeks recovering from my second knee surgery in the last 6 months so I have plenty of time to get a bit creative.

I have wanted something like this in game for a while and I’ve finally gotten round to making them. These are all predominately 18th Century Tile sets with the exception of the odd one or two. These are ideal for your sim’s kitchen sinks or bathroom sinks to add a little touch of 18th Century to your lots while protecting walls from water spray and mess. There are 14 swatches and can be found under paintings. They can be increased and decreased in size by using “[” and “]” and I believe they are base game compatible.

So I’ve been looking for some inspiration for Sims 4 build ideas and as I’m just a tad obsessed with Versailles I wanted to try turning one of the worlds into a Versailles style town. I still have plans on finishing my Sims 3 Villandry Build and World (https://www.tumblr.com/blog/sims-3-villandry), but I’ve really fallen in love with playing Sims 4. It’s so much easier and quicker to build lots and I love the fact it doesn’t crash every 5 minutes even with the obscene amount of CC I have in both games!

I was originally only looking to make it an 18th Century time period world, but after finding this house currently for sale in the town of Versailles I quite like the idea of mixing 18th Century and modern together so I might actually make 2 versions of it. One modern and one 18th Century. These are side by side comparisons of the real house and my build of it so far.

I fully intend to share the builds and game save files once they’re completed, so I hope you guys like the idea. This house, that I’ve initially named Maison de Versailles, is still a work in progress, but it’s coming along nicely. I’ve had to make a few changes thanks to the build limitations of Sims 4. Plus the original house doesn’t have a very large garden, so I’ve taken artistic license by adding a greenhouse and pool. I’ve also had to change the layout slightly as there weren’t enough photos of all of the rooms or a floor plan available.

As soon as its finished and I’m happy with it I’ll upload it to the gallery and refer back here with links to all the CC I’ve used and then I’ll do it’s 18th Century Version. Plus this is also a shameful plug of my side Tumblr (https://www.tumblr.com/blog/thesims4versaillescollection) as I’ve used some of my custom versions of @felixandresims​ walls and I love his custom content so much. Plus it’s his lovely custom content’s fault that I’ve not finished my Villandry Build yet ;o)

These panels use some of the real Silver Wall Panels of Marie-Antoinette’s Boudoir from the Palace at Fontainebleau. They have the 3 swatches, Light Brown, Dark Brown and White and come in all 3 wall heights. There are 8 files in total consisting of 2 ‘Left’ Panels, 2 ‘Right’ Panels, and 4 Deco Panels. They are best used in conjunction with @felixandresims’ Trianon Manger Walls shown in the last screenshot.

However, mine have different panels at the base of them, which I created using sections of the main panels that I edited so I thought I would carry on with mine.
