Anyone else feeling particularly radicalized by the TikTok ban?

I’ve been on edge all day. Scrolling through the app seeing all my favorite creators say goodbye. Crying at the thought of their small businesses failing. It’s been heartbreaking to see.

Unanimous. The Supreme Court voted unanimously to ban this app. Before gun control. Before healthcare reform. Before anything. The whole government is more worried about a fucking app.

It’s because they don’t want us communicating. If you keep the ants separated it takes a lot longer for things to happen amongst them. All I’ll say is this.. let this radicalize you, we need your rage.

The first part doesn’t really seem related to the rest. I’d be mad too if my time was deemed less valuable because I don’t have kids BUT we don’t know if that’s the only reason that person was made to cover.

The rest is just the hateful assholes yelling louder than the majority. I am child free but I love kids and am the “free babysitter” of the friend group. You and hubby need a date? CALL ME! Need some alone time, bring ‘em on over! You need me to help clean your house? Sit down I’ve got the mop! Many who chose not to have kids still take part in the “it takes a village” approach. And those who don’t still shouldn’t be shamed, they didn’t choose to have kids so they aren’t responsible. Children are not for everyone and it’s okay to prioritize yourself. As long as they respect kids being people and part of society, and show them respect because they’re humans too.

"child free" has just become a code word for "I hate kids and think parents/kids inconveniencing me is a human rights violation"

When I worked for our university’s archaeology team we would get asked about dinosaurs… all the time. This is so accurate 😂

I am living for this. I know their PR team tries to make it sound like “oh poor us were just trying to do business 🥺” but no. 7 day work weeks, 12-16 hour shifts, low pay all is inching oh so close to basic slave labor. Fuck y’all, get with the times and pay people fair wages and have realistic expectations for working conditions or lose out to the market when people stop buying your products and stop working for you.

I have extremely vivid and detailed dreams, to the point my husband jokes I should write it down as short stories because they have acts, arcs, fill plots, etc. I have always dreamed this way.

Once I was sharing a room with a roommate (second bedroom has to be worked on so we moved the extra bed into her room) and we both went to sleep like normal. After another very vivid dream I woke up very slowly in the middle of the night mid sentence, and it was like I couldn’t stop talking about whatever it was. Then my roommate, still asleep, REPLIED to me. We were having a full conversation in our sleep about something I didn’t understand at all. Then she woke up and we both just stared.

i just had the weirdest moment, i was feeling my front teeth with my tongue because they’re the tiniest bit crooked, and then i had the thought “i’ll check if they’re also crooked in my other mouth” and then i realized to my shock and confusion that i have only one mouth, leading me to believe that in a past life i was a terrible monster with two mouths
