Welcome to my blog! The theme and goal of this blog is to help inspire and inform fellow sissies, crossdressers, transgenders, and other ladies of all sorts on the in's-and-out's of homemaking with a trans-feminine lens. Not too much emphasis on the sexual, except as it relates to another wifely duty - along with cooking, keeping the house, and being fashionable! Also, while the 1950's housewife aesthetic will definitely feature in, there's many era's of homemaking worth celebrating!

It's a crying shame that practical, feminine, and gorgeous underthings like this corselette/brassiere set are no longer really commercially available. Frankly, it's becoming even a bit of a search to find anything dainty, feminine, and cute (especially for bra's) that make you feel feminine and that your man would like to see you in too. Department/supermarket offerings are just so... bland. Bring back femininity!

So important!!!!
Defer To Him
Defer to him as much as you can.
A friend asks if you can come over tonight? Tell her you have to ask him.
A salesman wants to know if you want to buy that product today? Tell him you have to ask your man.
You want to buy something? Ask your man if you can afford it.
When you defer to him, you’re allowing him the opportunity to create reality out of the vision he has for the relationship and, believe it or not, he does have a vision.
Besides, deferring to your man on even the smallest issues will make him feel needed and will make you feel like he’s in control of your universe - and that lowers your stress level.
Don’t fool yourself into the common girl-trap of “I don’t want to bother him.” He absolutely loves to be asked these kinds of questions. You’re handing more control of your life over to him every time you ask his permission for something. You’ll find your man always, always, always has time for more control.
Defer to him. You’ll both be happier.

Is it crossdressing?
Fully aware of the rampant fetishization around crossdressing, feminization, transgenderism, etc. And while that's not always a bad thing, it can mean that one side of you is often ashamed or regretful of your feminine side - and hesitant to fully delve into it.
But it's absolutely there, and absolutely a part of you - the fact that you keep coming back means that it's really who you are, and impediments (either placed socially or maybe simply your own anxiety) are the wall separating you from accepting it fully, and so you relegate it to just a fetish.
But remember these affirmations: say them to yourself, write them down!
When you put on a dress, it's not women's clothing; it's your clothing. It's not women's dresses hanging in your closet; they're your dresses.
It's not "getting into femme mode for the evening" instead, it's getting ready for the evening/day.
It's not "putting on makeup" it's a routine part of getting ready.
...And so on, you get the idea.
Get to where you do a full face of makeup without a second thought. It shouldn't "arouse" you, it should just be your routine. You ought to forget your makeup is even on as you go about your day, except for the slow moments you need to take to refresh your lipstick!
You'll know your there when you just do your makeup and you're not excited for it, almost dreading going to the trouble - but you do it anyway because that's who you are, that's your routine.

Posture and walk, girl. It’s very important!
The following quick guide is mostly a copy-paste from other blogs and belong to their perspective creators. That being said, I created this basic guide specifically to be more friendly towards transgender women, but other identities such as non-binary and genderfluid are also welcome. The idea is how to not just practice and master feminine-associated movements, but to feel euphoric about yourself. However, I’ll give a disclaimer: Although some of these guides mention crossdressers, I tried to avoid those sites that use unnecessary name-calling like “sissy”, “boi”, “f%gg”, etc. I briefly reviewed these links and none of them should have the reader/viewer encounter misgendering by their perspective authors. Sources are listed below.
Tips and steps on how to walk feminine:
Here are a few tips on how to walk and pose. Retrieved from an old post by Tumblr blog transgenderteensurvival:
Focus your weight into your hips. Cismales tend to walk with their weight in their arms or stomachs. Think of a model walking a runway — her steps are light and her shoulders are back.
Swing your hips as you step. While an overly enthusiastic swing will certainly be noticeable, most ciswomen walk with a subtle hip swing. Practice by walking around your home and exaggerating the swing, then tone it down when you hit the street.
Slow it down. If you observe ciswomen in a shop or casual setting, or searching for a shiny Charizard, that was stolen from them at school (not bitter), you will notice that they tend to browse and meander. It’s not uncommon for a ciswoman to walk like she’s on a mission, but mimicking these browsing habits can make you appear more feminine.
Swing your arms gently and point your elbows in toward your torso. A light swing comes off as feminine, and turning the elbows results in creating a smaller silhouette.
Relax your muscles and allow your body to move more fluidly. If you’re wearing a wig, ensure it is secured so you can move your head freely. Rigid posture will make you appear more manly than feminine. Don’t relax too much though, or you’ll be sitting down, and this helps no one.
I know you didn’t ask but here’s a bonus:
Tips on walking in heels, a lot struggle, even ciswomen, and Princess Leia..
POSTURE: Heels pitch weight forward, so for balance, keep your head up and shoulders back. Tightening your core will offset some of the pressure on your feet.
STEPS: Striding in a normal heel-to-toe motion can snap a stiletto or twist an ankle. Instead take short steps, going down evenly on the ball of the foot and heel. But remember heel-to-toe is the best way if you’re walking in sturdy heels.WEIGHT: As your weight shifts fully onto a foot, spread your toes in the shoe slightly; this will help to distribute the weight onto the ball of the foot. HIPS: When you’re feeling off-balance, you tend to stiffen up. For an easy, attractive momentum, let your hips swing in small, sideways, figure-eight motions.
These should help you appear more Kate Moss, and less Bambi on ice.
Videos on how to walk and pose feminine (Bonus heels video)
Here are some videos that will help you guide your walk. The first two videos are from a guide by Andrea James’ Transgender Map site while the third video was part of the YouTube algorithm. It’s very important you watch the first two as they will help you learn how to walk in heels in the near future:

Visual pictures on feminine posture:
Here are a few pics that show the DOs and DON’Ts of posture. I’ll let the pictures do the explaining here:

Although the pictures are meant for photoshoot, they are very useful in showing the viewer the difference in posture. Notice how in the left sides with the X on top show how stiff, nervous, and monotone the woman is while in the right sides with the checkmark on top show a more relaxing, fluid, and confident woman. The whole point is to look upward, loosen the shoulders, and be more flexible with your arms.

The best way to succeed is not just by reading and watching these links, but by also observing women and their movements. If possible, tell a supporting friend or family member on how to move like them. Avoid staring too long as you can be called out for stalking or being creepy. That is a huge no-no!
Conclusion
Remember, you’re not doing this just to improve your movements. You’re doing this to feel good about yourself.
You got this, girl! (Captioned pic above was created by me. Original picture belongs to perspective owner.)

Want to learn how to sew but not really sure what to start with? I recently finished this exact apron, and it's a great beginner's project - I had mine done in one evening, and I'm not really all that great at sewing - yet! You can get the pattern on Amazon and really only needs a couple of yards of fabric. A great project that has the potential to look really good - but some flexibility if you need to make changes or alterations based on how you're going to be using it.
A couple of suggestions: using a plaid fabric on a beginner project is great because you can follow the lines in the print of the fabric to keep your cuts straight - and it's very attractive for a project like this.
Also, even though the pattern doesn't call for it, adding lace to border the straps or bib of the apron is a great way to add a more feminine touch - and conceal potentially imperfect stitching. Great practice as well! My one complaint is that the straps shown on the full version tend to slip off the shoulders, so if I were to make this again, I'd change the design a bit so the upper supportive straps meet behind the neck, rather than over the shoulders and down to the bottom skirt. But overall, cute and useful!

It's okay! It's okay to be weak, it's okay to be demure.
It's okay to not be the strongest one in the group, or anywhere close.
It's okay to be indecisive, or overwhelmed by the rush of the world.
It's okay to be quiet and submissive.
It's okay to not be interested in the popular things or to be completely unaware of what's popular and trendy.
It's okay to be dainty and feminine.
While these things would be looked down upon for boys, why not just give in entirely to femininity? You won't have to worry about not being strong enough, or decisive enough. Be a gentle lady and a loving housewife, and everything will fall into place, exactly where it's supposed to be.

A Little Bit of Extra Thought
Your man works hard for you every day, it is only fair that you return the favor.
Never forget the importance of putting a bit of extra thought into your household chores.
When he’s showering, toss his towels into the dryer for a few minutes so that they’re warm for him when he gets out.
Don’t slack when you pack his lunch. Make sure you take care to make something he’ll enjoy that’s also good for him. A quick note on a napkin reminding him that you love him never hurts.
His days are long and busy, but a quick text to check on him will remind him of why he works so hard and make the day a bit more bearable.
He wakes up early for work, but you can wake up a bit earlier to ensure his coffee is made and breakfast is started when his alarm goes off.
Fix your hair and makeup before he gets home. Put on a dress you know he likes. The first thing he sees when he walks through the door should be you and dinner on the table. Make sure both are a pleasant sight.
And as always, fulfill his sexual desires. Sacrifice a bit of your pleasure for more of his. Don’t turn him down just because you don’t feel like it.
The home is where he comes to relax. It is your job to make sure he is able to.

How to be graceful (and come accross as put-together at all times):
Have proper posture
Be well mannered
Say "please" and "thank you"
Take up the lost art of writing thank you notes
Maintain common courtesy with everyone
Be on time. Better yet, be early. 10 minutes at least. In the corporate world being early is on time, being on time is late, being late is twice as late.
Be mindful of your tone, don't come accross angry when not needed.
Carry yourself with confidence
Have quiet confidence
Don't rush, take things slow (e.g your speech, your walk etc).
Smile more

What should a lady busy herself with reading? Pleasant reading makes a pleasant soul. Cookbooks are a must! Always keeping things fresh and new in the kitchen is an excellent way of making your husband happy, and to keep things from getting monotonous for you. Also recommend browsing online, or in vintage/antique shops for other kinds of homemaker literature and magazines from long ago. Far from being out of date, they often include forgotten and very helpful wisdom that can be of great service to you and your household even now.
