My top 5 things I do to ease my wondering minds: you should try it ;)

If you don't know by now, Ruby Dhal is my favorite writer, I recommend her books to you a thousand times plus 1.
#1 Journaling
So I know at least half of us has had a journal growing up, especially growing up watching things like "as told by ginger" and/or "Ned Declassified"  on Nick. We all attempt to write in it everyday but got side tracked by our young minds and ended up going days, even years without posting another entry or we turned it into our own drawing book. If you were like me you had a handful of them that over time I got lost.
However, about two years ago I finally made another journal, but not your typical one. I had no restrictions on this one. I wrote song lyrics, added pictures I found on pintrest that caught my attention, quotes, bible verses, spur of the moment ideas like book outlines that I thought I can write, letters that will never reach the person intended, monthly estimates of bills, confessions and I even wrote song lyrics and I can't sing, and turns out I can't write a song either.
Journaling really has help me  as a outlet I can turn to it and i didn't have to worry that it was going to judge me, or tell my secrets to. Just keep in a safe spot.
#2. Painting
So you don't need to know how to draw for this, honestly just paint the first thing that comes to your mind. Mess it all up, put every color of the rainbow on there, make your own colors. Do it all. I get lost in painting, I'm  so focus on it that the world around kinda disappears, and it's only me and a canvas left.
#3. Create a Happy space "Literally"
( this step might not be the best for people who struggle with personality disorder) This is not easy as it seems, this takes focus and dedication and a lot imagination. This is also one of my biggest  kept secrets. (REMEMBER: THIS IS A JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE) I have made my idea world up in my head and I get lost in it from time to time, OK, a lot of the time. I built this world that I control and in this world I am who I want to be, I'm a whole lot cuter, thinner for sure and successful (not that I am in real life but just a whole lot more) Funny thing: In this world I'm married to this man who's like a 5 star pro football player and I live in a Malibu beach MANSION!!!  . WARNING: The down fall with this is that it kinda can get addicting and you need to learn when to pull yourself out of this world, you loose track of time, and worse case it affects your interaction with society. I normally listen to music when I do this, if you want know more, search the term Maladative dreaming, its very similar.
#4 Reading
This one is for all my book nerds, fanatics and all your many Fandoms.My first real series that i was completely immersed in was the Twilight Saga ( I do not care what you think of me but
#TEAMEDWARD
always ) Its fun to immense yourself and you learn some new things, it doesn't have to a fiction book, or a series, it has to be something that you like to do, and if your on of those people who say they "don't like to read" you just  haven't found the right book. So i encourage you to spend a day at the library, or barnes and noble if you don't have the time for that amazon is another good way of finding books, it could also be the cheapest. I find bookstores/ book shopping to be very therapeutic
#5. Cleaning
Ok wait, hear me out. This has been very therapeutic for me, espically when it comes to doing all of the other things I stated on this list. A fresh clean room, house and/or car, to me I feel like I'm cleaning out bad energy. Top it all of with a nice smelling candle or in scent and you have peace for while. Just do it and trust me.
Those are my top 5 things I do. I know it may seem like I tend to disassociate a lot but as long as you know how to control it, i find them very therapeutic. It helps me survive for another day and another one after that, before I know it has been 23 years and I'm still holding on cause I found something worth living for, and that I like to do.
