Dabi held you close until your eyes were no longer crying. You didn't think you could cry anymore, plus all those emotions had your stomach rumbling. However, you didn't expect Dabi to be in the kitchen cooking. You were now resting on the kitchen counter, watching him fry up a fish while the rice cooker was boiling the rice.

"When did you learn how to cook?" You questioned.

"Um, I think about seven?"

"Seven...Didn't your mother cook?"

"My mother ended up in the hospital after killing my father, she thought he was sleeping around so when he got home she was waiting with a gun. I walked out and saw it...The neighbours heard and called the police straight away, I had to live with my auntie for a while, she was rather busy being a doctor and all, so I cooked most of my meals"

"Sorry for your loss"

"It was a long time ago, I don't let it get to me."

"Do you ever visit your mother?"

Dabi flipped the two fishes so they could grill on either side. He didn't know how to answer you. The idea of meeting his mother again...He wanted to ask her why she did it, what made her think his hard-working, loving father had to die?

"Maybe one day, I don't know."

"If you want, I could come with you?"

"Thanks, but I will give it some thought"

Dabi finishes cooking, taking the meals into the living room. Placing the plates on the table. You helped when you put two cups of water down. Sitting down in front of your plate, you waited for Dabi to join so you could eat.

"I hope Midoriya was okay, if it wasn't for him I could have been dragged into the car." You spoke before munching on the food, savouring the fish with rice.

It didn't seem much but you shouldn't complain, Dabi cooked you a meal so you had to enjoy it. Chewing softly after blowing to cool it down. You wanted to ask Dabi a few questions but it didn't seem like the right time. You focused on eating until you noticed he was done and getting up.

"I will run a bath for you...I know I don't have clothing suitable for you, but I hope a shirt and boxers enough."

"Oh, Eh, thank you, I don't mind anything."

Dabi simply nodded as the two of you ate your food quietly. You were grateful right now, happy that he saved your ass, even though you needed to text Midoriya later. Making sure he will be fine. After about five minutes Dabi was done eating. He got himself up to stroll down the hallway and into the bathroom. The male started the water, letting it run while you finished off your meal.

Slowly you got up onto your feet when he called out your name, you wondered over to his side so he could hand you clothing and a towel. Thanking him before he left the bathroom, you shut the door, locking it and then taking off your clothing. So many things were running through your mind that the second you dipped your body into the warm water, you just sank.

A bit of your head was bobbing out the water but you stayed quiet. You then sat up properly before tilting your head back. Gazing up at the ceiling while your thoughts took a halt. You then started to think of a way to repay Dabi for helping, maybe taking him out? Get something to eat or help him study for free? You were a top student so that could be another way?

After an hour in the bathroom, you were finally done. Finally out the tub, draining it and drying up to put on the white baggy shirt, it was rather long. Even the boxers were a little baggy, but this simple look seemed to have grown on you. You then used a smaller towel to wrap around the back of your neck, using it to dry your cheeks as you stepped out the bathroom.

"I'm done."

You said out as you wondered where Dabi got too, you walked down the hallway but stopped when you noticed a photo frame facing down. Your hand reached for it, grabbing it to face it up. Your eyes stared down at the photo, seeing Dabi when he was a child, seeing how he was happy with his mother and father.

"Pretty..."

You mumbled quietly until you heard Dabis voice from behind, causing you to flinch out. "Ah." You quickly put down the frame, gently tapping at your chest to calm down. You turned around to follow Dabis voice who called out for you once more. When you into the room you looked over to see the male relaxing on a bed.

"You called?"

"Yeah, the place isn't so big, so what took you so long to find me?"

"Oh, Sorry. I was just looking at a photo. It was facing down so I decided to put it right...But you scared me so I put it back down."

"What do you think?"

"Huh?"

"You saw right? So what do you think?"

"Mm...Well, your mother is beautiful and your father is very handsome...You looked happy as a child."

"Yeah, the typical family that everyone dreams off."

"Sorry."

"For what?"

"For your loss. Your father seemed like an amazing person, yet it was taken away from you."

"Mm, the past is in the past"

"The hell with that sentence! You lost your father because your mother thought wrong, how can you hold in all that pain!"

You gasped softly. Realising what you had said, lifting both your palms to lay across your lips, covering them as you lifted your eyes. The next thing you saw was Dabi towering over you, your back against the wall, his one arm just above your head...His eyes empty, why did you even say that.

"What do you even know?"

"Huh..."

"Nothing, just get some rest."

You stared up at the male who seemed to be lost in sadness. You wanted to question him but instead, you walked past to get under the blanket. Laying the wet towel in a basket before you got in bed. Dabi, on the other hand, went off to lay on the sofa. He gritted his teeth the second he shut the door, knowing if he said something, he would regret it.

----- The next day was normal, both of you walking down the streets to get to school. You kept quiet wondering if this sort of situation could be fixed. You shouldn't have said those words, you should have apologised, you should have done something, or maybe...Wished your words never came out.

"______!"

Midoriya called out your name, your head snapped towards his direction to see a small bandage on his cheek. A gasp left your lips while you ran over to him, you dropped your bag before reaching him. Quickly taking a hold of his left hand with your left, while your right cupped his injured cheek.

"What the hell happened."

"Your father pushed me away and I smacked into the wall, don't worry about it, I got in the way."

Dabi picked up your bag as he walked over, he looked down at the two before gently bumping Midoriya on the head, calling him an idiot for doing what he did. You let out a soft sigh but then smiled due to your friend's bravery, gently hugging in him your arms you pulled away to walk into school.

"Mm, we can hang out at my place."

"Does that mean I can come along?"

You looked up at Dabi with your (e/c) orbs until you nodded, it made you happy even if you both had an awkward moment last night. It seemed like things were resolved. The three of you soon went inside, to get school over and done with, the first few lessons did seem to be a bit quiet but it seemed too quiet.

The second it was time for a break you heard mumbling outside, the crowd seemed to have grown which had caught your attention. Getting up from your seat you walked out into the hallway to see that everyone was hanging out the windows to see the commotion.

You managed to squeeze through to see what the hype was about. Looking up to see a student hanging, their arms tied above their head, uniform torn in half with red markings all over their chest. The student was passed out...You gazed as they had something in their mouth.

"What the hell!"

You began to run down the hallway to get outside, hurrying down the steps almost causing you to crash in the wall but you managed to get outside unharmed. Panting softly when you started to pull on the ropes to pull the female student down. A teacher finally came outside asking you what happened but you had no clue. You let her rest in your arms the second she was on the floor, the teacher calling for the ambulance as you gazed at the strange marking on her chest.

It was a drawing? A drawing of a hand...Something you have seen but why on her chest? You soon took hold of the letter, it was weird...Nothing like this has ever happened, it wasn't just a simple prank but someone had hurt a student and the only witness...No one.

Another teacher came out and you looked up at them spaying. "Go check the cameras...Make sure no one leaves until we find out who did this." You then heard the ambulance approaching, leaving the student with the teachers and paramedics. The letter was the only clue but you opened it, sliding the letter out to read each word.

'Dear President I see you have Dabi? I would recommend you to let him go since he does not belong in that school. You have a week to force him out or another student will get hurt...It won't be just a simple beating but next time it could be a broken body.'

A chill ran down your spine, you quickly cracked your head around as if someone was watching you. You scrunched, clenched onto the paper in your hand, not sure who this person was but you were not going to let anyone get hurt or let Dabi go, this was just a bluff...Maybe this was the real reason he left? Someone was after him and all the students in the school.
