I had to rewrite this answer multiple times bc like 3 different alters were trying to answer it at once lol ^^’ anyway yeah we do! We have the type of subsystems where groups of alters come as a package deal and not the Russian nesting doll type of subsystems where alters have their own alters (at least to the best of our knowledge lol) 😌 Our system has 4 hosts and we consider ourselves a subsystem! We often front together, we can switch very fluidly and easily and we normally find it pretty easy to communicate with each other too~! We also have a different subsystem of 3 alters but they mostly keep to themselves and we don’t really know that much about them. They never front or talk to anyone outside of our system, they very rarely talk to any of our fronting alters and they’re probably the oldest non-dormant alters in our system since we’re pretty sure they’ve been around since early childhood. As far as I know their main job in our system is managing ✨dissociative memory stuff✨. The way I described them makes them sound kinda sinister lol but it’s actually really comforting to know that they’re there and they represent a part of our brain that’s looking out for us and keeping us alive and okay 😌

👻 - do your alters/headmates have different voices or speech patterns?

Yeah!! Most of us don’t have Super noticeable changes in our voices but we definitely have distinct ways of speaking once you get to know us! Our husband is really good at guessing who’s fronting based on our accent/tone/speech patterns lol 😌 I think @eviltamagotchi has the most noticeable difference in the way he talks but he normally tries to mask his voice and talk like one of the other hosts when we’re out in public ^^’ I think the best comparison for the way it talks is like Anya from spy family?? But that obvs makes us Super Visibly Neurodivergent in front of strangers which doesn’t always feel safe so he only really unmasks around our family and our husband uwu’’ Our family don’t know we’re plural yet but they know it’s voice from when we used to live with them so it’s just part of ‘the way Sirius talks sometimes’ lol 

🦖 - is your system fictive-heavy? factive-heavy? neutral?

It’s actually a pretty even split between fictives and Original Brain Guys~! I don’t think we have any factives at all and we def don’t have any factives who are active fronters, I guess our brain just doesn’t normally use real people as inspiration for new alters ^^’

🎁 - have you ever bought your alters/headmates things?

Yeah we buy snacks for each other all the time ☺️ We also pick up clothes, accessories, craft supplies, video games etc. for each other when we see something we think another alter would like ^-^

🍄 - how did you get your system name?

Our system name is just our collective name Sirius ☺️ We picked it as our name Years before we realised we were a system but pretty much all of our active fronters really like it and all but one of us consider it their real name/one of their real names~ Sirius has always felt like the most perfect name for us it’s canine it’s space related it’s got Mythology what’s not to love!

☕ - what is switching like for you?

For us it kinda feels like becoming a different person or a different version of myself? Sometimes it’s very abrupt and there’s a very clear line between me and the person I just switched with but most of the time our switches are slower and more gradual and we don’t even realise we’re a different person than we were before until like an hour later or something. It took us like 5 years after we began to suspect we had some kind of dissociative disorder to realise we were a system because we had only ever heard of polyconscious plurality - where there are 2+ separate consciousnesses in a body and one takes over from another - but we’re a monoconscious system and we share one collective consciousness between all of us :-) We all thought we were the same person who had weirdly inconsistent opinions and an unstable sense of identity for years and that’s probably why we all use the name Sirius too uwu’’
