[Delta yawned as she sat at the cafe table. It was around 2PM, and she was currently just—Waiting, for a companion.]

[She’s sat in front of the mirror, ready to go out for the night when she realises her eyes have changed colour and her claws are out.]

Wha… okay that’s weird but I’m sure it’ll go away.

[Her voice is a little gruffer and then she looks down to see her arms are getting fuzzier. She shuts her eyes and tries to focus/ground herself while everything keeps getting louder, smells get stinger and everything feels a little brighter.]

What the fuck??

[Next thing she knows she’s on all 4s, confusedly pacing around her room…]

Krystal felt her heart stop in her chest as she stared at her phone screen. They were really all dropping her. They hadn’t even made it half way through their first year together and they’d all gotten sick of her.

Different chapters? What did that even mean? She was practically carrying this friend group on her back. They’d complain about being bored and she’d plan the outings. She’d learn the schedules. She was checking in on everyone constantly to make sure they weren’t feeling left out or exhausted or upset.

Then it clicked.
