BONUS MUSIC VIDEO: “Xmas Is Over (Let’s Keep The Lights Up 4 A While)”

They say that political protest songs never make a difference, but I truly believe this one can change things. Sure, take down the “Christmas” or “Xmas”-themed decorations-- no sense in having Santa Claus or Baby Jesus stuff up in January-- but what about keeping up the “winter” themed decorations like Snowflake lights or Snowmen? January is a depressing month for a lot of people, and I think the sudden and complete disappearance of festive decorations is part of the problem. At the very least, it doesn’t help.

Maybe even put up some EXTRA decorations-- January should be treated like a post-Xmas “Winter Festival”! Some people love the cold, and some people HATE it, but I think we can agree that it might be nicer if January felt like a month for celebration rather than a stark and cold post-Holiday wasteland.

Two weeks ago I spoke to @connorratliff about his upcoming Xmas special, The Spirit of Ratliff. I spent the rest of the day humming Xmas tunes to myself, which doesn’t happen often after talking to agnostics about Xmas. Ratliff is incredibly passionate about Xmas and if this interview doesn’t put you in the holiday spirit, I have no doubt his special (dropping 12/21) will.
