Crooked River Skate Park Ready to Set Down in Cleveland

When I was in high school my dad and I went on a road trip to see the greta northeastern United States.  My favorite city on the entire trip was Cleveland, mostly thanks to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  However, the sad measly playground of an excuse that the city had for a skatepark was just embarrassing.  The location was pretty cool, right on the shore of the lake next to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Cleveland Browns football stadium, but the equipment was all playground material and there were no other skaters as far as the eye could see.

To hear that a new high end skatepark is going to be built in Cleveland is wonderful.  The total cost of the park is going to be somewhere in the area of $750,000, which isn't chump change.  My small hometown in New Hampshire had an awful time trying to raise $10,000 for our skatepark, and we never even got there.  As a cherry on top, the city hired Grindline to build and design the park, so it is guaranteed to be a top notch skate destination.  Check out a layout of the new park-to-be below, and swing over to the official park website to pledge your support for the new park.
