happy sunday!!!! here are photos from the last few days — chaos chaos chaos!! yesterday I wasn’t able to study much because I was one of the moderators of our quiz bee, so I had to be in school. when I got home I was so sick so I was forbidden to finish the rest of my anki and was required to have a complete sleep.

now that I’m recharged a little and recovering, I was able to clean my room! change bedsheets, and now going through my to-do list and study sched one by one. if I’m feeling better I might go to the gym (or not).

rest is productive as well, you know? I believe taking care of yourself well is imperative for you to thrive.

The weekend was such a shitshow. As a background: me and both my grandmas celebrated our birthday this week and on the weekend we had a get-together. I do not have a good relationship with any of my relatives and I get guilt tripped to go meet them.

At the same time I’m digesting bad news and figuring out some complicated things I didn’t share with my family. And I got made fun of and insulted for having a serious/sad look on my face.

I’m planning to move cities and cut ties with my family next spring, and that was the only thing getting me through this weekend.

09/10/21 — Friday

Today was my 2nd day of university classes (I don't have any on Tuesdays or Thursdays). It was a rainy day, so after attending my 3 lectures from 8:30am to 11:20am, I headed to the Commons to do some notes for my Chemistry and Intro to Microeconomics classes. I snagged the only available study room and spent until around 1:20pm in there. They're really cool, like a little office! I would've stayed longer, but I got an emergency alert that I had to evacuate my campus immediately...

I still don't know 100% what happened but everyone was rushed out suddenly and they haven't given us anything more than vague details. It's a little annoying, especially since I'm not allowed to return until they say. I can only imagine what the people locked in residence are thinking...

It just released at the start of the week, but I only got the opportunity to listen to it today. I'm a huge Day6 fan—I listen to their entire discography—so I've been anticipating Young K's solo for quite a while.

Today has been: re-drafting and editing an essay, finding out I didn’t make the shortlist for a poetry prize (but it’s okay, I might try and submit my work elsewhere), and going on a long cold walk through the university, noticing the winter sunlight, the clouds passing over the buildings, and the reflections in the glass windows.

24/4/21 | I'm behind schedule because I seriously misjudged how long it would take me to recover from the diss. Feeling more alive now and managing to actually get work done which is good.

27.04.2021 — last exam of 5th semester tomorrow. all that’s left of my bachelors degree is two seminars and actually finding a place for my thesis. jinkies.

11.04.21// my 27th birthday is in 3 days, which is wild. I started this blog when I was 21, in my undergrad, trying to motivate myself to study so I could get into law school. Here I am, 6 years later, graduated from law school, 2/3 finished my masters of law and I am so grateful for the opportunities and friends my studies have brought me 💕
