you have terra in your stats in your pfp! yap mode activated. terra first appeared in the new teen titans #23 in nineteen eighty [gets shot]
It's actually Terra Branford from FFVI because that's where those stats are from

you cant just leave holes where a bossfight against a secret religious leader occured without handrails
Osha would shut this down in a second
I know it's probably because the devs were reusing assets from ffx but i find it funny that Cid didn't do anything when he turned Zanarkand into a tourist attraction.
no alterations at all just let people wonder around this ruined city.
getting attacked by fiends is part of the experience.

My review of Tactical breach wizards
this game is really good.
The story is interesting in the way that it involves a lot of very political topics but it also has a lot of charm and comedy to it without those two melding together or clashing against each other.
All the characters are really fun with my personal favorite being Dessa Banks.
The gameplay is a really fun type of tactical rpg but I dont have much to say about it other than that it's good and that i love the defenestration mechanics

Review of TMNT: Tactical Takedown
this was a really fun short game, took me 7.7 hours to beat and 8.9 to go back and 100% it. the plot feels like the first season of a fourth season of a preexisting TMNT show and for a short game like this that vibe works greatly.
The gameplay is an interesting mix of turn based rpg and beat em up.
this works by each level only letting you control one turtle but you can do multiple actions per turn, this combined with the hoards of enemies that appear at the start of each turn and the rapidly changing levels makes for a kind of combat that you have to think about ways to kill enemies with as little moves as possible otherwise the enemies will gang up on you and kill you in one turn, while having to keep yourself on the move to not fall off the map.
my personal favorite method to kill the enemies was by using knock to push them off the map.
overall this was a fun short game.

Turn based rpg cheese: it doesn't matter if the developers considered the ramifications of giving these specific abilities to the player or not, but you did and by combining them you essentially trivialized the entire game
Metroidvania cheese: If you stand in this one specific spot and crouch the boss can’t hit you so you can spam weak projectiles until it dies
Fighting game cheese: There’s actually a way to beat this setup but it’s unintuitive so players who haven’t seen it before don’t know how, you can just do it over and over and unless they figure it out you win
MOBA cheese: This build and strategy is terrible at teamfighting and provides basically no utility for your team, but it makes you automatically win against a specific opponent and/or lets you one-shot squishy targets for your YouTube montage
Soulslike cheese: This is a mechanic the devs intentionally put in the game for you to use to make things easier and/or more fun, if you use it that clearly makes you a scrub

I think all the people who played clair obscur and really liked the parrying system should play worldless
similar parrying system but it's much more complex and intense

My review of 13 sentinels: aegis rim
this is my first review of an rpg that i didn't beat recently.
so it's fitting that i go into it with maximum bias by reviewing one of my favorite rpg's of all time.
13 sentinels: Aegis rim is a real time tactical rpg about 13 high schoolers who pilot a mech known as a sentinel to fight an invasion of robotic kaiju aliens.
or at least that's what the game tells you.
Now due to the plot of this game being of the kind that cant be discussed due to everything being a spoiler I will talk about the gameplay first.
The gameplay of 13 sentinels is a really interesting mix of real time tactical rpg and tower defense.
essentially every fight you can bring 6 characters with you with the other 7 providing buffs you never notice.
the sentinels are seperated into generations 1 through 4 and these are essentially the classes of the game.
it's pretty easy until the final section of fights, in almost all battles your objective is to either kill all enemies or defend the Terminal (tower defense thing essentially) long enough that the timer runs out and you win.
that might sound like it's too easy but due to time stopping to let you menu and pick abilities that has never happened throughout both of my playthrough's of this game.
The gameplay is pretty good but it's the story where the meat of this game really is.
Now for the story, what i said earlier about the story being about defending the world from an alien robot kaiju invasion.
not even a little true.
what's actually going on is that humanity died millions of years ago and the last fifteen people in the world created a plan to recreate humanity by creating a simulation that teaches clones of them about human culture and history and how to rebuild society on the terraformed planet that they are actually in
and the kaiju are only there because one of those 15 people gave up on humanity and sabotaged the code.
and this is just a rough explanation of what gets revealed in the end.
this is just the answer to the mysteries of this game.
the best thing about it is how it builds it up from each characters perspective giving you an answer to one question but never getting the full answer until the end.
one of the first twists i got in the game could be the final piece of the puzzle that solves something huge.
now the game is not completely sandbox in how it lets the player experience the story, there are a lot of events that are locked behind seeing a specific scenario such as almost half the characters being locked behind Natsuno Minami's extermination event. but overall the story is just really good in how it tells a theme of legacy and what you leave behind.
unfortunately in terms of the protagonists there are definetly some that are more interesting than others.
but overall i will always love this game

I didn't shit on it enough because it's just bad
there's no reason for me to care about the story
Pieces of cardboard with a single speck of character have drastically more personality than the protagonists
It's got the lamest case of a prophecy ever
There's one likable character (not a single interesting character though) in the entire game and he died but you can save him, you just need to find every single coral shell, build the entire town, and do other bullshit
i don't really see the point in shitting on the story because I just don't care about it
And I suppose that might be worse than me hating it

Tell me your take on Sea of Stars!
What did it do well? What did it do uh not very well?
The thing sea of stars didn't do well is anything that could have given it substance
The story and characters are hot garbage, the gameplay is ok at best and bad at worst
There's a horrible lack of ability variety and the combo moves are treated like they're special attacks.
The true ending is just trying to do what Chrono trigger did but worse a
What sea of stars did well are two things, the graphics and the music.
I played sea of stars for about 78 hours and it's mid
