Emma and Regina bring out the best in each other, there is a level of understanding and respect between them. There also a tenderness and care that each woman has for one another that runs deep. They have this insane amount of chemistry that is so easy to feel and see. I truly believe that their true love and each other soul mates. And their quite adorable together. Their my lesbian fairy tale come true :)!
Why do you love Swan Queen?

When a show is fully aware of the fans support of the lesbian subtext between Maura and Jane you get interviews like this one, where the actresses play up the subtext even when not in character.

An interesting conversation about subtext in a number of popular television shows.
Subtext.  It’s there whether we want to see it or not, right?  Myself, Allaine, Adm_Hawthorne and sweetjaimelee will be discussing the subtext on Warehouse 13, Rizzoli & Isles, The Good Wife and, of course, Once Upon A Time.  So if you want to listen to us talk about ladies who just have that…THING between them, tune in.  Follow the link above to find out where and when.  Hope to see you there!  :)

I looked up the entire Once article on TV tropes
This series contains examples of:
-there is no Lesbian Subtext paragraph, or even a mention of Totally Gay Canon-

And Swan Queen isn’t even mentioned in Meet Cute

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m sick of lesbian subtext. Rizzoli and Isles, Once Upon a Time, Glee - it’s all the same shit. I spent almost twenty years having to forage for “subtext” while my straight white cisgender sister was represented everywhere, and it’s no longer satisfying. Not when...

Enjoying lesbian subtext isn’t about eating crumbs as much as it’s about creating your own feast. A feast where lesbian fans can find themselves and lose themselves and cook up their very own worlds full of sapphic substance.
