BC minimum wage is $17.40CA/hr. UK minimum wage for my age bracket is £12.21, or $22.47CA. A search for average UK rent listings shows £1,288- or $2,370.44CA per month- while average BC rent is $2,149CA. So while in BC I have to work 123.5 untaxed hours to make rent, in the UK I would have to work 105.5 hours, so yes it is in fact complete horseshit to be a human needing a house in both places right now and we should absolutely talk about it

Truth be told though I don’t actually care all that much about those 18 hours a month between us because at the end of the day we’re both eating drinking and sleeping like absolute dogshit on the poverty line while a bunch of rich wrinkly fucks do jack all, better off we buddy up and get shit done than get our panties in a twist over counting the fucking beans
