Adult Rhaenys and Aegon, roughly late 20s to early 30s, in the crossover AU in the fanfic series Elia Martell in Rohan for @thesunsdragons

Minor but harmless spoilers for what is planned for their adulthood in this series, as the War of the Ring is over in-story

Having rejected their claims to the Iron Throne as the legal children of Rhaegar and anything else with their Targaryen inheritage, the two older children of Elia Martell ends up taking very different paths as adults:

After the War, Aegon trains both in everyday life back home in Rohan and for some time in the House of Healing in Minas Tirith to become a healer. As a adult, with support from his stepfather Theodred, mother Elia and the rest of the House of Eorl, he ends up becoming the founder of a similiar school for healers in Edoras.

As the chosen successor of Khamul as the legal ruler of what remains of Kemet under the throne name Satiah-Tiamat Merneith, Rhaenys becomes known as "The Reformer" due to her hard, life-long work to change the Temple of Shadows from its connection to one of the feared Nagzul to a respected place of learning about the past.

Both Rhaenys and Aegon will get married to native Rohirrim spouses before the age of twenty due to them and their peers feeling a duty to restore the population of Rohan after the losses faced in the War of the Ring, especially the number of young and adult men who died in the battles.

By the time of their deaths in the later half of the first century of the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, their biological father Rhaegar Targaryen is only known in Rohan and the rest of Middle-earth as the "first husband of Queen Elia Martell who abandoned his family", and in Westeros under the Baratheon dynasty, the siblings becomes known as the "last known legal Targaryen heirs" due to long out-living their paternal uncle Viserys and aunt Daenerys.

Both Aegon and Rhaenys leaves behind a huge amount of descendants from their respective marriages thanks to their marriage unions being fruitful for themselves, their children and grandchildren, and in Rohan, someone spotting the Targaryen traits of white-blond hair and purple eyes becomes known as a sign of being a descendant of Queen Elia's first marriage though either Rhaenys or Aegon, although still being a rare sight in Rohan by the end of Aragorn's reign as King Elessar in year 120 of the Fourth Age.

As the fruits of a Targaryen-Martell marriage, adult Aegon looks very similiar in apperance to their paternal ancestor Maekar I Targaryen, especially with growing out a beard to further remove himself from the apperance of his biological father Rhaegar, while Rhaenys have always favored her maternal Martell side in apperance and as a fully grown adult, looks almost like a Martell version of her paternal grandmother Rhaella.

Years have passed since Princess Rhaenys was taken from Dragonstone. Many believe her to be dead— some think otherwise. King Rhaegar looks for his lost daughter still, making sure no corner of any kingdom goes unchecked. The heir and the spare, Prince Aegon and Prince Aemon, are too young to remember their eldest sister but they feel her absence all the same. The late Queen Elia took her own life a few short years later, blaming herself for the taking of her daughter. And with his grief came his ruinous behavior. Prince Viserys was a stranger to court life, spending his time far away from Kings Landing—- and his brother. After a disastrous reunion with the king following his time in the Riverlands, Viserys leaves the kingdom all together. Across the Narrow Sea, he finds a girl who changes everything.
