Equal-opportunity death match! I love it!

THIS SHOW IS SO PURE!
It’s worth noting that Kenneth spent the entire episode making the game (and the subsequent fight) as inclusive as possible for JJ and his disabled friends (all of whom were played by disabled actors/actresses).

That feel when Russia invades Ukraine and the small part of your brain still attached to Hetalia is overrunning the rest of the brain with thoughts and feelings completely detached from the actual war.

The rest of the LoTR fandom: Is Finrod's hair short? Is it long and in an updo? Somebody tell me so I can be offended!
Me: Is Finrod in Valinor pre-Darkening or post-death at the jaws of werewolf!Sauron? My money is on post-death, hearing about all the malarky Sauron caused once he became Dark Lord from his sister after she arrives in the West.

PLEASE DON’T SCROLL
even if you only reblog, that’s enough
i was debating on whether or not i should post this on tumblr but seeing as there haven’t been posts about this yet, here it is. i’m exposing my real location and nationality but it doesn’t matter.
if you have been active on twitter, you may already know #savemyanmar is trending. long story short, there has been a military coup. several nations have released statements but i want to share insight on what’s happening in the country.
memes about a coup have been circulating around for a couple days and when i slept at 2 am last night, we were still under the rule of the National League for Democracy (NLD). while they are not technically democratic, they are the closest we’ve got. when my mother woke up at 6 this morning, she was notified that the country was now under the rule of the military.
banks services are no longer available. wifi was cut at around 7-8. some people got wifi again earlier but many got it barely thirty minutes ago. this is bad for businesses especially ones that require international communications. additionally, international students like myself are experiencing anxiety; how do we pay for and attend classes if we’re not sure wifi is a given?
myanmar has a long, complicated history with military governments. the last time the military went into rule was in 1962 and only stopped in 2011, following the 2010 elections. there was a huge protest in 1988 lead by students that resulted in lots of death. during the military junta, resources like rice, water, oil, were scarce. the gist is military rule is bad for us.
all of my followers are not myanmar citizens, i’m sure but as part of the international community, please help us. here is a petition that you can sign (although i’m not sure if that can do much). there may be protests in front of myanmar embassies so look out for those. most of all, please help spread awareness.
the people here are coping with dark humor, primarily in the form of memes but we don’t know how long this rule will last, even though the official statement said only a year. here’s something that pretty much sums up our coping mechanism:

I cannot signal boost this enough!
PEOPLE:
STOP COMING TO TUMBLR FOR NEWS.
There are live updates happening on most major news outlets. Posts circulating on tumblr are behind the times. If you want ACTUAL UP TO DATE NEWS with a minimum of panic and rabble-rousing then check elsewhere.
Yes, this is as bad as it looks. No, a panicky tumblr post does not have all the information. Prefer verifiable facts to social media soundbites.
CNN live updates
NBC live updates
NY Times live updates
CBS live updates
C-SPAN live video feeds (heads up: these are live and I’m not sure what content might be inside—so call this a violent-content warning)
Reuters article (updating but not a live feed)
Additionally, check your state and local news sources. There are related events already happening at the state/local level—it’s equally important for you to know what’s happening close to home. Be informed!
GO TO A REPUTABLE NEWS OUTLET.

Did I hear right?
People are shipping Misha Collins with former US President Bill Clinton?
Like, for real?
Are they gonna ship Tom Hiddleston with Tony Blair now?

OK So with the shit with the USPS going on:
Tumblr media
1. Check your Voter registration to make sure everything is up to date.  If you can, request a Mail-In Ballot.  I live in CO, where all elections are Mail-In only now, so I get one anyway.
2. Fill out your ballot per the instructions on your Ballot.  Some Notes:
Read Instructions thoroughly, and fill out your Ballot in private.
Do NOT post pictures of your Ballot as this may invalidate it.  DO Post pictures of your “I Voted” sticker.
Make sure to vote for all the offices up for election- as important as the presidential election is, your mayor, governer, local school board and sherrif have a MUCH bigger impact on your immediate safety and quality of life.  Google your candidates, look up the Leauge of Women Voter’s Guides for a reliably Impartial rundown of your local candidates.
Remember also that it is better to have someone in office that is only moderately incompotent, than it is to have someone that actively wants you dead.  It is the first step to having someone worthwhile next time.
If you wanted a third party option, your local elections are the best place to do this- my own city council has several Green Party members and it got me city-sponsored single-stream recycling! Its also moving the state legislature significantly farther left.
3. INSTEAD OF MAILING IT- LOOK UP WHERE YOUR BALLOT DROP-OFF LOCATIONS ARE.
They’re boxes you drive or walk or bus or bike or whatever up to and drop your ballot in, and the elections officials will have it that evening. Pros of Ballot Drop-Off:
Can be turned in the same day you reccive your ballot, if you want to get this over with ASAP
Open 24/7, so you can drop it off whenever
Absolutely guaranteed to get your vote counted, regardless of what Donald does with the Post Office.
No waiting in line
No exposing yourself to the coronavirus
Most cities will have several ballot Drop-Off locations, at places like the grocery store, the county courthouse, city hall, at high schools etc.  Google your town or county name and “Ballot Drop Off Locations” and it’ll give you directions even.
Absolutely Save the USPS, but this is the BEST way to make sure your vote gets counted this

Hey, guys... I’m a disabled WOC asking for your help. My last donation post was getting pretty long with updates (will be linked below for more info.) I have so many medical expenses for my Endometriosis (chronic pain illness) and Hepatits C, as well as psych meds for bipolar & other mental illnesses. (Currently waiting to go through the approval process for insurance/SNAP benefits/financial benefits; however COVID is somehow slowing things down when you’d really think it’d be the opposite.)
If you’d like to see proof of Hep C diagnosis, past updates, etc. the link below is to the donation post where I give past updates & screenshots of my bloodwork results (the results show the hep C virus is present and that it is active)
If you cannot donate, if you can reblog, that’d be very helpful. I appreciate all of you
I’m more than happy to answer any more questions you may still have after reading the linked post, my messages are open— please be kind.
The ways to donate are posted in the linked post but i’m gonna leave them below too:
Cashapp: $emmar0seg
Venmo: @emmar0seg
PayPal link followed by Gofundme link

A movie quote about the universality of human worth despite our differences.
“... we all different, but, in the end, we all fruit.” - My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Rather pertinent sentiment for our times, if you ask me.
