Julia is passionate about life! Learning, travel, creativity, nature, family….the list could go on and on. Julia never wants to stop learning. if college came without bills, she would be a forever college student! Being an English teacher fulfills a part of Julia's continuing quest for knowledge because as she teaches and watches the lights go on in her students' minds, she also feels that she is learning right along with them. Communication with her students is a joy that Julia gets to experience each day that she spends in the classroom. Traveling is another love of Julia's. She loves to learn about other people, their cultures, the environment, along with a host of other topics.

Creativity and nature are passions of Julia's. Being one with nature helps to get her creative juices flowing! She is a musician and a writer. Julia loves to write poetry and songs. Musically, she loves to sing and play the drums, but she also spends time on the saxophone and guitar. Music has always been a family affair. Julia loves spending time with her dad who, in her eyes, is the ultimate musician! Julia's mom, a former English teacher, exposed her to the world of learning by taking her to her classroom and to museums. Growing up with two older brothers helped Julia to become strong and athletic, as she had to withstand the brunt of "brotherly love". Family camping trips, hikes, trips to the zoo, all taught Julia to love and cherish the environment.

"The Real Women #makeastatement campaign is a great way to promote the fact that women can be strong, bold, determined, and independent, while still maintaining a feminine identity," says Julia. She believes that women can do it all! Girls can kick butt at rugby while wearing bows in their hair. Women can crush a boulder problem in a beautiful head wrap. Real women are not afraid to be who they are, or to be feminine while displaying their strength!

Julia's favorite hair accessory from The Topping Tree is a toss-up between the flower hair clips and the new patterned head wraps. She can throw a flower clip in her hair on any day to add a little flair to an outfit. Wearing a patterned head wrap allows Julia to feel fun and exciting while working out or just having a lazy day.

Giving herself so many options makes Julia glad that she is who she is! On any given day, after teaching or on a day off, she can decide to run or ride her bike, go rock-climbing, attend an MMA class or do yoga, play rugby, sing or play an instrument, write music or poetry, paint, hike, take photos, read a book, cook a new dish…you name it and Julia may want to try it, especially if it is new and challenging!

Going through life taking it all in, cherishing the earth, loving her family and the people in her world, sticking her toes into every little pool she sees, is what makes Julia the unique person that she is! In her own words, "This life is all we have, so we must make the best of it!"  And Julia is doing just that in so many ways!!

Sara is committed to being a life-long learner!  Because of her passion to learn and help others, Sara went to school to become a teacher. She feels the strongest application of her love of teaching and learning is being used in raising her children. She wants them to appreciate life, love and respect others, and explore and learn about their surroundings.  Sara feels that being a Mom is like being a teacher because you are constantly making important decisions that affect young lives.

The Real Women #makeastatement campaign excites Sara because it is founded by a new, growing, online business with local roots. The campaign, which supports all women, is empowering them to express themselves. It promotes the idea that beauty is a variable. Because of the constantly changing style scene, there isn't just one definition of beauty! Sara's own personal beauty favorite is the head wrap (any head wrap…she loves them all). Her daughter is a huge fan of hair bows!

Sara feels that the older she becomes, the more eye-opening life becomes. Now in her thirties, she has found that this decade of her life has not been a depressing good-bye to her twenties, rather a "round two" and the start of new beginnings.  Yes, some gray hair and a hint of wrinkles but she is happy to be where she is in life!

To describe herself in a nutshell, Sara says " I am a mother to two young children. My fashion sense has changed to "whatever doesn't need to be ironed. If I can be comfortable wearing a head wrap or bow, so can you! " Now, that sounds like a statement from a Real Woman!

                                                           Meet Sara

Two of Sara Boulanger's passions in life are intercultural exchange and travel adventures!  Working with international students is very fulfilling, as is being involved in community projects. Sara also loves being a mom to her one-year-old doggy, Tupelo. When she's not caring for her favorite canine, Sara loves hiking, snowboarding, yoga, cooking, and travel.

The Real Women #makeastatement campaign delights Sara because she"loves that real, ambitious, professional women are wearing bows handmade by real women entrepreneurs!" On a personal level, Sara's favorite hair accessory from The Topping Tree is her yellow flower clip.  

Sara has always had the attitude that she will try anything at least once. That could make for some very interesting travel adventures and exploration of new places to hike and snowboard! We wonder how many new places Sara's yellow flower clip will visit!

#RealWomen rocking our hair accessories! Here is another SNEAK PEAK! 

Some of you have been following our campaign Real Women. For some of you that haven't, let us catch you up! We invited some amazing women to get together for a photo shoot (almost none of them had modeled before). We asked them to show up in whatever they wanted and pick any hair accessory they would like to wear.

We had the pleasure to work with Angie. She has more confidence and beauty than anyone I know, she rocked this shoot.  Even adding a twist. She took one of our boho headbands and added a hair bows. Taking a plan black headband and making it fabulous!
