WHY THEY JOINED THE TRUSTEES

Jades family was apart of the mafia, so OF COURSE it was only eight that Jade too was about if the organization. Was she thrilled about it? Not really, But she knew she had to follow in her molly and daddy’s foot steps in order to get the support she needed. In other words she did it just so she would continue to get help. Jade has thought about running away with her daughter without a trace but knew that wouldn’t come without consequences, so she stays and lives her best life she can.

WHY THEY JOINED THE TRUSTEES

Being in The Trustees ran in the de Laurent family, except in the very way that broke apart her entire family when her mother decided to leave her family in England to come to the US and join the organization. Several years later, her mother committed suicide, and while Beaux was never exactly heartbroken by this, she can't help but have this feeling in the back of her mind that she didn't kill herself, but rather was killed. It's because of this that her curiosity had peaked, her desire to follow in her mother's footsteps and join The Trustees taking hold and pulling her in. Perhaps it's because she wants to get to the root of her mother's disappearance, perhaps it's because she thrives off of playing dangerous games, or perhaps she's simply letting her thoughts and curiosities win. Whatever the reason, she's here, and for now, she's here to stay.

Oliver Cruz de Laurent — Oliver is Beaux beloved older brother - the only person in this world that she would do absolutely anything for without a second thought, and the one who originally brought her to California in the first place. June wanted some control in his life, so when he found out about the Trustees, he of course had to join. He like the idea of being part of something, especially since was back in Korea…. Growing up, his family had been part of a cult, and June had been named the prodigy child by the leader, who he has all the reason to believe is his true father. When things got far too out of hand, his parents realized this and ripped him away from that life to come to America to start over and escape the grasp of the cult. June hated this, he liked feeling important, but he had no choice in the matter.

Natalie — His adopted sister, Natalie. His parents brought her into his life when he was young after moving to America, hoping that having a sibling would save June the trauma of his former life. He resents his parents, but he does adore Natalie.

When his best friend, Santiago expressed concern for his health and wellbeing, and of course, his business, Isaiah felt that it was best to protect his assets by joining the organization. Although, he feels as though he could’ve gone without, having lived his entire life without fear, Isaiah doesn’t regret it.

Their relationship is still a rocky one, however, and while Isaiah would never admit it, his older cousin is a very important part of his life. Santiago Elias Torres — There aren’t many people Isaiah trusts, but Santiago has never given him a reason not to. It was Santiago’s idea to relocate from Chicago to California and join the Trustees. Later on, however, his father would die in a car accident that Su-ho was actually a part of too. The car crashed off a bridge into the ocean. Su-ho’s father saved him, but drowned in the process.

With the help of accountant all that had happened previously was forgotten and his father passed of natural causes.

Since joining feels as though she is thriving to the best of her abilities. She feels more herself, less judged, and beyond successful. Karter hopes to keep this part of her life a secret from Kelly, but, who knows, she may end up having to welcome her into this sort of lifestyle along side with her.

Saige joined the Trustees as more of a traditional thing rather than her own desire. Her parents, prominent figures in Hollywood, were heavily in the mix and expected their daughter to follow in their footsteps. With her brother also being in the Trustees, it gives her a sense of safety and makes her feel not so alone. The company that she is now an owner of, in a way stems from the Trustees as there had been many fellow trustees who have helped build Naughty Nook into what it is now. So in a way, she feels as though she owes it to them to stay.

Isabella Enza Reyes — Isabella is Saige’s adorable little niece. The little girl has her finger wrapped around Saige’s entire life. There isn’t anything that  she wouldn’t do for her cute little niece. It is her main goal in life to keep that little girl happy and most importantly, to keep her safe. 

Brianna Reyes — Brianna is Saige’s twin sister and the two have always had the closest bond, as you’d expect of twins. Brianna is what you would call the good twin, while Saige is the opposite. He stays in the mindset that it’ll be easier to keep an eye on them and protect them if he complies. Being a part of the cartel doesn’t mean much when The Trustees have a far bigger reach.
