Setting: In a forest
Time of Day: Monday Morning of Jack’s Birthday
Once up a time, there was Jack and Jill, Mama and Nikola, traveling through a forest. But then the Big Bad Wolf came, a ghost and a mean witch, named Witch Cricket. Witch Cricket was trying to make Jack and Jill, Mama and Nikola STEW! Well, they knew of a little house with Three Bears inside. A mean tiger was blocking the cave to the house. The Wise Wizard appeared and he cast a spell on the tiger. That spell made the tiger fall asleep. But then the tiger woke up too soon. A good lion appeared. The good lion battled the mean tiger. The mean tiger was winning, the good lion was winning - the good lion WON! The mean tiger was dead. Jack and Jill, Mama and Nik ran through the cave. Before they made it to the Three Bears house they were stopped by 3 more beasts. The big bad kitty and another mean tiger wanted to make Jack and Jill, Mama and Nik Stew - while the Big Bad Dragon waned to make Jack and Kill, Mama and Nikola Burritos. The 3 more beasts were guarding a passage way in the a tree. Sir Nikola got rid of the Big Bad Wolf. Sir Nikola pressed a “funny button” and the ghost laughed himself away. The Witch Cricket got lost and found a big pond with crocodiles in it. The crocodiles at the Witch Cricket. The Wise Wizard turned the bid bad kitty into two cute nice kitties. Sir Nikola the Brave went to distract the Big Bad Dragon and the another mean tiger with a scarecrow. The nice kitties helped distract the remaining 2 beasts while Jack and Jill, Mama and Nikola made it to the Three Bear’s Cottage. Guess what? Only the dragon was distracted. The another mean tiger suddenly fell in a trap and was locked up. Jack went out to pick some roses while Jill, Mama and Nikola finished up the birthday decorations. They worked really hard and Jill was trying to figure out where she could put the pumpkin. Nikola made party hats. Mama was doing the Three Bear’s Research - birthday party research. Jill put the pumpkin right on the trap, so the another mean tiger couldn’t get out of the trap. They finished the decorations and started on the cake. It was a strawberry cake. Jill sent her friend, Python the good snake to get Jack for his surprise party. Nikola told Python that the surprise party needed to be a secret. Python’s mother was asleep, until Mama and Nikola woke her up. They had to apologize to Mrs. Python for waking her up. She was a VERY VERY big snake - a Burmese Python. Jack needed a little rest because he was tired of picking roses. Jack took a nap and woke up very thirsty. Jack had run out of water. Jack was trying to go up a hill to fetch a pail of water, but then he fell down and broke his crown. Jack got very hurt. Python found a blood trail, while looking for Jack. The biggest, baddest, most venomous snake was poisoning everyone in in the forest. The biggest, baddest, most venomous snake took Jack to his secret hide out. Python went home to do this homework. The trap with the another mean tiger opened and tried to make Jill, Mama and Nikola and the three bears into stew. Jill, Mama and Nikola used everything in the Three Bear’s house to block the trapdoor. The biggest, baddest, most venomous snake turned Jack into an egg. The biggest, baddest, most venomous snake ate the egg. Mother Python went onto the roof to make an SOS sign. The dragon finally figured out that it was just a scarecrow and flew away. The dragon returned to his cave, napped. Jill, Mama and Nikola, and the Three Bears were trapped in the cottage overnight. The another mean tiger was still outside. The biggest, baddest, most venomous snake having just eaten egg Jack went out of his cave to drink some water. Jill, Mama and Nik, The Three Bears wake up with plan. They are going to dress up like a giant, so the tiger will run away like a scaredy-cat. The Jill, Mama and Nik, Three Bears giant yelled and scared the tiger that ran away. So, Nik being super kind - realized that the tiger was scared and sad without any friends. Jill, Mama and Nik, and the Three Bears went to go find the another mean tiger that is now scared and alone in the forest without any friends. Nikola was just sure that the another mean tiger was trying to tell us something - the another mean tiger didn’t have a mommy or daddy. They went to find her an adoptive family. Another mean tiger wasn’t mean anymore and loved her new family. Nikola said that he had a plan. Due to sloppy story telling Nikola already knew that the biggest, baddest, most venomous snake every had taken Jack (even tho we were in the cottage the whole time). Nikola said that it was by his comp-u-lations. The plan is to dress up like an egg and have the biggest, baddest, most venomous snake eat to get Jack back. Jill volunteered. So Jill dressed up like a big egg and Nikola and Mama and the Three Bears take her to the snake’s cave. There were obstacles that they had to go over, under, around and through. There was a big big block blocking the caves way. They had to go over, under, around and through. They had to dig. They spelled EGG and the block disappeared. Mama and Nikola and the Three Bears leave Jill the egg at the cave until the biggest, baddest, most venomous snake returns. When the biggest, baddest, most venomous snake gets back and EATS JILL THE EGG. Both Egg Jack and Egg Jill are now in the biggest, baddest, most venomous snake. Jill’s egg was actually an explosion device. Nik had set the timer. There was HUGE EXPLOSION! And out came Jack and Jill. We all go back to the Three Bear’s Cottage and have Jack’s Birthday Party.

Once upon a time there was a Mama and a Nikola. But Nikola said, "Mama? How many times until we go home? 6 weeks?" Because they were on a big hike, with all this grass. Everything uses oxygen to breath, like us or Dada. But then it got cloudy over the sun and that is when it got so dark. AND SPOOKY. With lots of ghost. There was a vampire that turned into a bat. The characters in my story didn't like bats because that is a VAMPIRE BAT and they can bite. *makes squeaking sounds* But one day, something big and bad came to the forest. It was black and BIG and had very big EYES! And and it had really big TEETH! And very big EARS! And then I heard a HOOOOWWWWWLLLLLL! Yep. It sounded like a GREAT BIG WOLF! And then we ran away! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Tuesday/Thursday Blog Tales: "There were three mice that I found in my hat. Cutie found them too. She jumped and they jumped and she chased them. The mouse jumped on Cutie's head. Cutie jumped. The mouse jumped. Cutie chased the mouse. The mouse hid under your computer, Mama and then behind the mouse. Cutie saw the mouse's tail and jumped. The mouse ran away. That was it. THE END. This is the END OF THE STORY OF MOUSE AND CUTIE CHASE!"

Quote
The child is made of one hundred. The child has a hundred languages a hundred hands a hundred thoughts a hundred ways of thinking of playing, of speaking. A hundred always a hundred ways of listening of marveling of loving a hundred joys for singing and understanding a hundred worlds to discover a hundred worlds to invent a hundred worlds to dream. The child has a hundred languages (and a hundred hundred more) but they steal ninety-nine. The school and the culture separate the head from the body. They tell the child: to think without hands to do without head to listen and not to speak to understand without joy to love and to marvel only at Easter and Christmas. They tell the child: to discover the world already there and of the hundred they steal ninety-nine. They tell the child: that work and play reality and fantasy science and imagination sky and earth reason and dream are things that do not belong together. And thus they tell the child that the hundred is not there. The child says: No way. The hundred is there.

Starting to organize the “school room.” 2 months ago the font porch was basically unusable storage - now it’s starting to become fantastic learning space.

WE HAVE A SCHEDULE! Bwahahahahahahahahahaha! *coughs, gasps, wheeeze* Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! It started with finding the local school schedule – then we thought we could do better. Who wants to spend the week before Halloween in school? Not, me that is sure – I have things to do, costumes to make, movies to watch! Let’s take a whole week off for Firefly Squidboy’s birthday! Why not take off a couple weeks in spring that covers ALL of the spring holidays? Sure we could take some time off in the summer, but eh, really THREE MONTHS – nah.

The plotting and scheming has officially begun. I believe we have our schedule planned and it’s time to break things down into workable sections. Ladies and gentlemen, we have post-its on planning pages!
