While with his lovely wife he gets bored, frustrated, tired and doesn't want to put up with his children either, so he runs away, lives in an office and chooses to raise an orphan.

Kishimoto wrote a manga full of texts about why Sasuke is important to Naruto and Naruto is important to Sasuke, but these people are too wrong.

It's always 'Sasuke tried to kill Sakura', but never 'Sakura tried to kill Sasuke twice and Sasuke only defended himself'.

It's Sakura who planned to kill Sasuke and came to him with a poisoned kunai. He only responded with killing intent when she attacked him first.

In both instances, it's Sakura who makes the move. What is Sasuke supposed to do? Sasuke only gets called out on his behavior by the readers and Kakashi because, unlike Sakura, he didn't hesitate to defend himself.

Shouldn't Sakura be held accountable for actually planning to kill Sasuke? Just because the narrative forgets to blame Sakura for her choices and reckless actions doesn't mean we, as readers, should forget it.

The claim that 'Sasusaku is toxic because Sasuke tried to kill Sakura' annoys me so much. Sasusaku is toxic, but not for that reason at all.

Kakashi is kinda the voice of this part of this fandom.

There’s no mention of the fact that Sakura tried to take Sasuke's life twice. Kakashi even refers to her as a 'kind, gentle girl' and adds, 'She only wants to save you'—by killing Sasuke? She didn't want to save him; she believed Naruto was suffering because of Sasuke and decided it was her duty to kill him.

Apparently, it's acceptable for her to attempt to kill him, but Sasuke defending himself is seen as the biggest crime.

So I just want to go back to Naruto Gaiden once again and how it tells us the way adult Sakura interacts with other women, specifically women with some sort of connection to Sasuke.

INO

Although in Naruto Gaiden we're not given a single panel where Sakura talks negatively about any women, chapter 10 of Naruto Gaiden gives us the clearest example of how off-screen she definitely does talk negatively about some women.

Ino is greeting Sasuke after years of not seeing him, we have no idea how many years had passed since the two interacted but considering that Naruto is the only person that sees him often & Sasuke didn't return to Konoha for Naruto's wedding, they've probably haven't seen each other since Sasuke left the village to go on his atonement journey, so about 12 years.

Yet the moment Sarada sees and hears Ino she is wary of her. In the next panel we see her with her arms up looking uneasy and distressed with the words BLOCK (in other translations it says STEP IN) above her, indicating she's either signaling Ino to stop talking to Sasuke or blocking Ino from physically approaching Sasuke. Ino is of course dumbfounded by this and Sakura is behind them laughing nervously in embarrassment.

This indicates to us that Sakura has talked about Ino in a negative light to Sarada. We know that Ino had a crush on Sasuke when they were 12 that she eventually grew out of and Sakura must know this because Ino is now married to another man who is also the father of her own child and yet Sakura still sees her as a threat to her relationship with Sasuke to the point Sarada herself sees Ino as a threat to her family.

KARIN

We're not shown a single interaction between Sakura and Karin but we're given enough information to know that Sakura's thoughts on Karin are somewhat complicated.

So first things first.

Kishimoto has never written about the circumstances that brought Sasuke and Sakura together. What we know is 1. Sasuke rejected Sakura after she suggested to go with him on his atonement journey. 2. Sasuke didn't return to Konoha for Naruto's wedding (which was written in a very shady way). 3. Sakura went after Sasuke after Naruto's wedding (which was also written in a shady way). 4. They traveled together alongside team Taka during Sakura's pregancy. 5. After Sakura gave birth to Sarada she went back to Konoha to raise the child all by herself and Sasuke had no intention in being present in Sarada's life (had Sarada not chased Naruto and Naruto not taken Sarada to Sasuke, who knows when Sasuke and Sarada would've met).

Keep in mind Sasuke never cared about Sakura before Sarada. In Naruto, Sasuke pretty much says he doesn't care if Sakura lives or dies, and in Naruto Gaiden, Sasuke still doesn't care about Sakura after Sarada is born as we see how he looks less than amused when he sees Sakura after years of no contact and how he keeps denying her any sort of affection (they've never kissed).

So it's safe to assume Sasuke still didn't care about Sakura while she was pregnant with Sarada (yikes) which lead us to believe it was Karin who took care of Sakura during her pregnancy.

Karin reveals to us, the readers, very important information:

Karin delivered Sarada.

Sakura gave birth at one of team Taka's hideouts.

Karin gifted Sarada the pair of glasses she wears.

Those glasses are Karin's and the ones she had within reach considering Team Taka doesn't hangout around kids (in chapter 8 we see small Sarada wear glasses too big for her).

Karin is fond of Sarada, she calls her "Sarada-chan" and has also kept her in her mind long enough to know that Sarada has grown out of the pair of glasses she gifted her as a baby (chapter 10).

Karin even preserved Sakura's umbilical cord that Sakura didn't take with her.

Basically, Karin likes the child. Some people interpret this information as proof that Sarada might be an experiment that Karin was involved in, but that's not what this post is discussing so let's digress.

How does Sakura feel about Karin?

Unlike she did with Ino, Sakura doesn't talk shit about Karin, instead she simply doesn't acknowledge her at all. This obviously leads to a messy situation: Sakura took a picture of teenage Sasuke with team Taka (but not her umbilical cord lol) and plastered her own picture over Karin's face.

What is particularly funny is that had Sakura just had that picture of team Taka framed normally and Sarada eventually asked about the woman with glasses she could've just said "Oh! that's Karin she's the medic-nin that delivered you when you were born :) she also gifted you the glasses you wear. I wonder what she's up to now?" perfectly normal response that would've answered some of her daughter's doubts and calmed her insecurites. But no, Sakura had to be very secretive about it because God forbid there are other women in Sasuke's life.

When Sakura is told that Sarada found the picture of Taka and ran away to find her dad this is her reaction.

She knows she fucked up. Also, it's very bizarre behaviour to act like this towards the woman who basically looked after you during your pregnancy and who has your child's best interests at heart. Even as an adult Sakura is still a male-centered woman. She cares about having a man before anything else hence her behaviour. Any woman that she feels threatens her status as Sasuke's wife is an enemy to her, she either talks shit about them, ignores their existence or in some twisted way tries to take their place.

Although I personally believe Sakura does care about and loves Sarada, I also believe Sakura sees Sarada as an extension of Sasuke thus as an extension of her status as Sasuke's wife. Sarada is the only proof Sakura has that she and Sasuke are together because that man could not care less about her, so in a twisted way Sakura doesn't want Sarada near other women in the way she doesn't want Sasuke near other women and she also wants Sarada to mistrust other women in the way she mistruts other women.

This insecurity not only reflects poorly on Sakura but also showcases how fragile Sakura and Sasuke's marriage is if Sakura and Sarada have to be up in arms everytime a woman approaches Sasuke.

What Naruto Gaiden shows us is that Sakura is an emotionally stunted, immature, selfish, male-obsessed woman who in order to feed her self-delusions has no issues of hurting her daughter along the way. Just sad.

Now I wonder how she feels about the fact that it was Naruto who brought Sarada and Sasuke together and who was able to pacify a dismayed Sarada. Always Naruto and never her.

I fail to understand how some people glorify Sakura and Izumi for the love they felt for Sasuke and Itachi. To my mind, they were obsessives who didn't respect the boundaries of either of them. The positive thing is that Itachi is dead. He never had a partner. Even the Ocs I've seen from some artists have more personality than Sakura and Izumi. I just keep feeling sorry for Sasuke, who is tied to that delusional woman.

What is your opinion about the Uzumaki clan?

Personally, I see the entire Uzumaki clan as a wasted potential. The setup, the build-up, everything was there,but for some inexplicable reasons, the uchiha clan took the centre stage (I'm not saying this out of hatred, just stating facts). They were known for their ridiculous amount of life force- mito uzumaki's hair not turning white despite her old age and Kushina uzumaki withstanding labor pain during the 9 tails attack, compelling even someone like Obito to praise their life force!

The entire uchiha clan was born with the curse of hatred, giving them all the reasons to be feared and respected. However, when you look at the history of the uzumaki clan, the entire shinobi nation joined forces to eradicate them and wipe them out from the surface of the earth. If this doesn't scream massive therear, I don't know what does. Also, during the war arc, it was shown that the Uzumaki clan had a place where all the sealing tools or whatever was lying around just there. Question (a) why were they lying around just there all these years (b) why didn't anyone bother to inform Naruto, y'know, the MC of the show, about it? (c) How come orochimaru and Sasuke knew about it, and Naruto didn't? Let me give my 2 cents on the uzumaki clan members

1: mito uzumaki- I think she was a very powerful uzumaki. The fact that she had a seal just like the byakugou makes this even more mysterious, and why was she, the wife of the first Hokage, never given much importance is beyond me. Did she have the Adamantine chains? We don't know.

2: Kushina Uzumaki: The MC's mother and the one whose last name is adopted by Naruto. She became a pairing fodder, and was left with some final moments with naruto before dying.

3: Karin Uzumaki: I really feel bad for this girl. She's an odd ball even in the uzumaki clan. Why isn't she explored more in the series. Like many female characters, she got shafted and was reduced to be a mindless Sasuke fangirl. How did she learn to use the Adamantine chains used by kushina? How come we never got to see her develop her skills? Correct me if I'm wrong, but she's a self-taught shinobi. She received no formal training, and despite being orochimaru's student, she was left to be forgotten. The fact that she restored Tsunade's chakra, a senju, without any chakra depletion, is a crying shame in hindsight. Her being the only pure blooded Uzumaki meant nothing in the grander scheme of things.

Nagato Uzumaki: I really want to know how he ended up in the rain village when all the uzumakis hailed from the land of whirlpool. Both Naruto and Nagato have this shared heritage, with nagato being a pure blooded uzumaki. I wish Naruto knew about this sooner.

Naruto The Last is a huge disservice to mankind because there was no mention about the Uzumaki clan and their history, which was abysmally touched upon in the manga.

Note: Naruto and Karin NOT knowing about each others shared roots is a crime against humanity. They could perhaps have been distant cousins and they could've had a wonderful dynamic with each other. Sadly, such concepts can only exist in haed canons and fanfic lore

As someone that has written plenty of anti-SS posts, I have to say some of you are deeply insecure about SS and care too much abt what SS shippers have to say and it’s honestly embarrassing because that side of the fandom has *always* been the loser side that scrambles the bottom of the barrel for scraps.

I completely agree with the anonymous who mentions the growing popularity of Uchiha x Uzumaki. I see it more likely that Sakura would be part of the Uchiha clan. If she still existed, I've seen some artists putting characters like Madara, Shisui, Sasuke and Itachi with a member of that clan (preferably Izumi or Sakura). We still don't know how well they got along when the Uzumaki were still alive, although, seeing the scene of Madara remembering Mito, maybe they didn't interact much.

Talking about how kishimoto right out stated that Naruto and Sasuke will have their "real fight", do you think there's a possibility for these 2 to have their "real fight" at the end of boruto?

There so much that isn't discussed about the Naruto-Sasuke dynamic. At least Sasuke accepted he DOES feel for naruto. Sadly, there isn't much on Naruto's part, the guy who chased after sasuke to the ends of earth just to have him back in the village with him.

I think there's just so much we're missing out on this dynamic, Sasuke actually opening up about the clan massacre, how it left him traumatised, how this, in turn, would make naruto reassess the entire shinobi system, and his role as the hokage.

Sadly, we had the "look, naruto and Sasuke are hetero men, they're married to women and have kids with their wives!" forced down our throats, just as Hinata and Sakura were forced on naruto and sasuke, respectively.

It seems boruto(the show) is doing EVERYTHING in their power to keep these two separate from each other, sending Naruhina in a void or whatever for hinata to have some "alone time" with naruto. Naruhina fans were delighted when they heard this, hailing kawaki was the ultimate naruhina shipper.

Just imagine a boruto ending where both Naruto and Sasuke have their "real fight" with sasuke (this time) doing all the pushing and forcing (no pun intended) on Naruto and naruto finally coming to terms with his genuine emotions for Sasuke.

Lately, I have seen that members of the Uzumaki clan are becoming popular, especially artists who link them with the Uchiha. Among the latter, the anti-Sakura stand out, who do not believe that the Uchiha clan would accept someone who does not bring benefits to their lineage or politically, even if it hurts the fans who would put Sakura with any Uchiha. Frankly, I'm hearing this the first time. And tbh, I'm glad they're finally seeing the truth for what it is. They aren't wrong when they point out Sakura doesn't bring much to the table so far as the Uchihas are concerned. She's emotionally strung 24/7, and considering how she destroyed her own house in gaiden just because Sarada asked legit questions about her relationship with sasuke, she really isn't doing a good job of painting herself in a favourable light in the eyes of the uchihas. Sakura's importance in the story has always been abysmal to say the least so it's no surprise that the anti sakura artists see her as an insignificant character.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Naori Uchiha. My only grievance with her is that she isn't canon. It was a missed opportunity. Her backstory is nice. She's got a cool design, and she's the first ever female uchiha to use the sharingan. I wish this was canon. I don't delve into the boruto lore, so I can't say much about Hikari. But she's way more interesting than sarada. That much I can say.

So far as Izumi is concerned, I absolutely detest her. Remove her from the story and the plot will still continue the same as it did in the original. She's important only in head canons. Also, Obito Uchiha was the first to mention itachi having a lover to Sasuke. When did itachi become so close to Obito Uchiha for him to talk about love? For all i know, Obito could've just jumped into this conclusion on his own. Itachi didn't care about Izumi romantically. It was later added to prop up itachi's tragic fate even further. She's not her own person. She's just another face in the crowd. She's basically a nobody. She isn't even canon. And I don't consider the LNs to be canon either. So yeah, that's how i feel about her. She's useless

So far as sarada is concerned, I'm gonna say this. Just as Kishimoto didn't know what to do with Sasuke as the series progressed, the boruto creators don't know what to do with her either. Her MS is utterly laughable, its underwhelming, even her awakeninf her sharingan in Naruto Gaiden is underwhelming. At this point, she's just a glorified female uchiha, and the creators dont know what to do with her. So they're doing what they always do best - make an Uchiha the emo edge lord with skimpy out fit that does nothing besides adding fanservice moments.
