sometimes you gotta take an accidental month long hiatus ya know??  i’m alive--  but won’t be active until after the first of the year bc my holiday work schedule is bananas!  if i have something drafted for you expect me to come slide into your dms in the next week or so to see how/if you wanna move forward!

rose looks around at all the empty bottles, laughing a little at his response. she wonders if this was why he invited her over, to talk? to drink? there was something different in the air that she couldn’t quite place her finger on. her curiosity was getting the best of her for only a moment, wondering what he meant by he couldn’t live alone again. does that mean he’s not living alone currently? did he have someone around that rose just hasn’t had the chance to meet yet? the alcohol didn’t help with these spinning thoughts in her mind. 

“oh, i know i can stay the night. there’s no way in hell i’m going to try and ride my bike back to my place after having this.” she taps her fingernail against the empty bottle of whisky. giving him the signature rose smirk. “so is there a reason why you had so many drinks without me?” she talks as if drinking has become a thing the two of them only do together. 

Knowing he needed to cool in on the Whiskey, he lit the end of a cigarette.  Perhaps an even worse vice than the whiskey.  He had already said too much, but that was always easy to do around Rose.  Sometimes you met another wolf and it was like you’ve known them your whole life, like they were one of your own.  It was a vulnerable feeling after losing his pack.  

The letter he’d sent his sister was returned back to him, he’d lost track of her again after just after pinning her down in California.  He was starting to think she was making good of her promise of never coming back.  “i was thirsty,” his tone was flat but his smile betrayed him.  Floyd ashed his cigarette in an old beer can.  “Drinking alone sucks,” he added, leaving out the fact he could do it just fine, but ever since Rose came into his life it had become just sad.

i’m aliiiiive!  i went to a concert on tuesday that effectively wrecked my hearing for two days, but it was totally worth it. i might try to knock out some short drafts, but i probably won’t be around until my next day off on tuesday!
