Lewis, Jay McMaken and Scott Fader announced today that newly formed organization of Veteran Village Michigan will be launching a fundraising campaign using the crowdfunding platform EndlessCrowds.com effective March 1, 2015. The company aims to raise $56,400 to launch its program educating Military veterans on home ownership/VA benefits and rehab the first home of many in the next 3 months.
The first project will be near Midtown on Woodrow Wilson Dr. This brick two family will be the future home of a veteran and their family. The home will be completely renovated, with new kitchens, bathrooms, furnaces, energy efficient tankless hot water heaters and much more. When the veteran and their family move in, they will enjoy the “New Home Smell”.
Veteran Village Michigan was established in Detroit, MI in 2014-15 and is managed by Aaron B. Lewis, Jay McMaken, and Scott Fader.  The company is made up of veterans and family members of veterans with pride, taking care of those who have served our country, assisting in the American dream of homeownership. Service men and women have earned VA Home Loan benefits to help them achieve this goal. However, it is a complicated process causing veterans to think they do not qualify or just feel overwhelmed with the process. The company has developed programs to solve this problem. Veterans supporting Veterans, from the start and even after the close of their new home. Veteran Village Michigan is the beginning of a new foundation to build communities around our service men and women. The management group is committed to enriching the lives of veterans while also revitalizing areas of need throughout Michigan and eventually nationwide.
EndlessCrowds.com is an online fundraising platform specifically tailored for the use and benefit of Active/Veteran military, First Responders and the organizations supporting this important assembly of Americans. Endless Crowds is a fellow Detroit based company.

Housing Assistance for Veterans
There are many veterans out there looking for a place to call their own. After renting and moving around while they served our country, they now want stability and a home to grow some roots in. These veterans are entitled to many VA Loan benefits to buy their home. This process, which should be fun and exciting can become a headache and cause many veterans to stop trying to buy. This is not right at all because buying a home should be the most exciting time in their life. Having the right team behind you can not only make it easy, but fun and exciting as it should be.
The V.E.T. Program (Veteran Education and Transitional Program) has put together a team of professionals that can help veterans and their families from the start of the process to beyond closing. Our Veteran Housing Committee is comprised of mortgage professionals, real estate professionals, title professionals and appraisal professionals, all here with the goal to help veterans get into the home of their dreams. Some members of the committee have the designation from the National Association of Realtors as Military Relocation Professionals, which means they have been taught how to handle the home buying process and have much experience with the VA loan process.   Home ownership is something you should understand as it is one of the biggest purchases of your life, and one of the most important. Many companies prey on military, charge upfront fees and sometimes convince them other loan products are better for them. These other loan products usually are better for the person offering, since they get paid more on them. Our committee will walk you through exactly what you will be responsible for regarding fees, the appraisal process, and insurance and so on. The Realtors will make sure you are seeing the houses you want in the price range you are approved for, and The V.E.T. Program Housing Committee is here for you, the veteran, to assist you and answer all of your questions.  For more information about The V.E.T. Program or the Housing Committee, please e-mail us at [email protected] or call 248-757-8829. You can also visit: www.thevetprogram.org If you are a real estate professional and would like to be part of the Housing Committee and help veterans, please contact us as well.
