Re: your post about Love Bullet

One of the arguments being that the Yuri tag itself is not equal to the typical romance straight one as heterosexual relationship is ubitiquos and therefore the Yuri tag more exists to simply allude to saphic relationships playing an important role or being existent even as a side thing as saphic relationships are not often seen in media. It is a means of convenience from what I understood.

also even if it isn't the main premise it can be a side thing aka a side genre ( I genuinely got to caught up in my stupid rant I forgot about side genres)

I also think now that I got another view to the entire discussion that my issue lies less with love bullet and more with general fandom behaviour that downplay most stuff to a relationship which I should honestly should be used to by now.

Anyways I stand corrected with my "Love bullet is not Yuri" claim and thank anon for explaining it all to me

Lovebullet isn't a Yuri manga genre wise

like what makes a Yuri a Yuri, is that it revolves around a Yuri pairing, right?

Like how in a romance genre it revolves around the main characters and the love interests relationship, the main couples pairing, right?

so pls explain to me how Love bullet is a Yuri manga

yes it has Saphic pairings in the background and Koharu got confessed by her friend who is a girl, but it isn't the main premise of the story, girl died before getting a chance to consider her emotions/feelings/etc. - They simply happen to be there and align

Like noone would call Frieren: beyond the Journey's End a romance just because Frieren had a situationship of maybe maybe not with Himmel and now decided to go off to see him in Heaven, THE PAIRING IS THERE BUT IT IS NOT THE MAIN PREMISE

another example could probs be Bocchi the rock

the premise? Bocchi wants to conquer her anxiety and play in a band

there are side tales and such alluding to canon and clear saphic tendencies. Characters being canonically into women to a degree or certain degree, Kita, Ryo

Noone would say Bocchi is a Yuri manga/anime tho

can we stop boiling down stuff to a romantic relationship, perhaps
