The Video Nasty Project
65 posts
The Video Nasties are a group of films that were banned in the United Kingdom back in the early eighties, movies that were considered too extreme for the easily corruptible youth of the nation by the Moral Watchdogs like Mary Whitehouse. However if you were a teenager looking for the most lurid sex, graphic violence or perverse splatter, the 39 Video Nasties were a checklist for you. That's where we come in. Some of the of the films on the list are mediocre affairs, some are surprisingly enjoyable, and some are just dumb fun. Others hold significant cultural relevance, deserving of a look if for no other reason than historical insight. So we'll review everything on the list for your pleasures and entertainment.
