Oh, Tommy Miller.

The more I think about Tommy, the more sad I am. Him not being there is worse than in the game. Jackson has lost so much - he's seen it. He and his wife are barely standing. And now he's gotta watch his niece come through the gates dragging Joel's body.

His guilt from the game was one thing - I think this will be worse. Because he *wasn't* there, and now he's going to wonder if that would have been the one thing that could have made a difference.

percy saying “i need you to promise me something” and annabeth immediately, without hesitation, telling him that she’ll do everything she can to save his mom. when before the quest percy was worried that annabeth would be the one to get him off track from his real goal, to get his mom back, if it got in the way of the actual quest. and then she doesn’t even think twice about it. i can’t.

Imagine you’re Grover and Annabeth. Your friend has just tricked you in an attempt to sacrifice himself for you. This is the second time this has happened to you in your life. You watch him fall out of the Arch. You see the three fates and watch them clip a string.

You think he’s dead. He’s definitely dead, no question. Except you go to look for him, expecting absolutely nothing, but trying to keep the faith.

And then he climbs out of the river, waves awkwardly at you, and says “hi.”

I would’ve thrown him back in the river.

“But what does Grover bring to the table? He’s just the comedy relief character.” Grover is juggling the role of babysitter, mediator, and emotional manipulator and he cracks jokes too? Give him a BREAK

okay percy offering annabeth riptide in the arch in sword form to trick her into letting him sacrifice himself. okay annabeth taking riptide in pen form in the tunnel of love OF HER OWN WILL so that he could sacrifice himself. riptide is such a good symbol of percy’s connections… when they finally acknowledge their friendship percy give her it in PEN form.. its not just a sword its a tool that he wanted her to have… it’s a reminder of him…OKAY
