Wahoo Village is definitely a place you're going to want to get to know after this project. Super ill delivery, funky harmonies, and unpredictable lyrics, this project is definitely one for the books. From references about snakes in the grass to police brutality, Tae Miles hits topics the youth are battling with right on the nail.

This track is definitely a "subtle banger"...it hits but it's light. Miloh Smith adds her feminine esque to the track and OG Maco brings a little rage...like that one cat that won't stop hitting you up. Cool combination of base and a little bit of ecstasy.

Soul of Coventry Show Grog Shop Cleveland

Talk about a musical experience. Cleveland was so ALIVE last night at the Soul of Coventry Show put on by THE Dirty Jones at the infamous Grog Shop where big names today got their names plugged into the deep musical scene in Cleveland such as Cleveland’s own Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Dom Kennedy and more. Last night, the new age musicians hailing from Cleveland to Cameroon, hit the stage and truly showed the Coventry music goers a good time.

Latchkey hit the stage and lit up the microphone with his slick word play and impeccable stage presence. It was my first time seeing him live and he was nothing short of an amazing opening act (one of them..the others I missed! :/ ) with talent I’m excited to see grow, gain attention and also collaborate with other local artists. He brought Cleveland music artist Doxx and turned up the atmosphere a few notches. Haven’t seen Doxx live in Cleveland in ages. It was a good to see such a dope mix on one stage.

Tae Miles’s set was nothing short of a LIVE THROEDIE experience. Throedie, his most recent independent project, has been well received from but only Cleveland natives but also on a collegiate level at such distinguished schools as Howard and more. As I filmed and took photos, I could hear the majority of the crowd spitting his lyrics VERBATIM. The vibe in the crowd was the vibe I got from being at a Cudi show and he throws on “Higher Up”. I can honestly say that Throedie is THIS Cleveland generations Dat Kid Named Cudi. Something different. Something that has been longed for in the city. Base line sounded even CRAZIER live and of course…I almost lost all my belongings when “I Love Jesus Barretts” came on.

Lanzaretta was a totally new wave I never was hip to. Dope jazzy band with their own unique funk. The back up singers trying added a soulful esque to the atmosphere and the overall sound of the band took everybody in Grog Shop to Church to the Apollo and right back to Cleveland.

Lorine Chia is life….basically. This Cleveland native / humble West African gem has a spirit of a lion and a level of grace that must female artist lack these days. She blessed the stage with straight wavy bangers from her latest album Naked Truths. She’s truly a star and its delivered to the audience in such an effortlessly graceful manner. Not only is she peforming but she is literally teaching the youth cute values that must study are reluctant to touch on: liberation, refraining from being greedy, standing firmly on God and more. She’s trying a blessing to the music scene. Lord knows there’s a need for ROLE MODELS in all industries, especially the music industry. The audiece was literally performing with her! Word by word, you could feel a spirit of realness and genuine love in the air. Great vibes. The energy in the room was CRAZY when she threw on “BOUT IT”! Everybody hit the stage…once again..at the expense of all of my belongings, I jumped right into the madness!

Afterwards, Good friend of mine VRGO, producer, artist, rocker of many bucket hats enjoyed Wavy Sundays and parlayed down at Bside.
