URGENT: PLEASE DONATE AND SHARE THIS POST LIKE WILDFIRE! This is a desperate situation, and I don’t know where else to turn at this point. My parents live in Dallas, GA, and they have been in dire straits for the past couple of years. My mother’s medical issues (including aggressive, insulin resistant diabetes, chronic pancreatitis, neuropathy, q wave, asthma, and severe sleep apnea among other things on a long list of problems) have been a drain on their income. Her disabilities have put her in the hospital, nearly killing her on multiple occasions, and the financial hardship forced them to bounce from house to house, ruining their credit all the way. My mother has since started receiving disability benefits, which has only helped a little, but my parents have run into an issue with rent again, and they have to come up with $1500 by Tuesday October 20th, or they’re going to be kicked out of their home with nowhere to go because of their credit! They will lose their possessions, they will lose their pets who are as close to them as family, and they will have officially hit rock bottom. I’m asking anyone and everyone who sees this post to PLEASE DONATE IF YOU CAN AND SHARE THIS PAGE WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE! We’ve done everything we can on our end to get help. There is no assistance available for them, and it sucks so much. Thank you! 

UPDATE [10/18/15] :

Something particularly awful happened between yesterday and this evening:

One of my mother’s old high school friends messaged her saying that he knew what my family had been through, and that he had a trailer that he wanted to rent out to them at a discounted rate so that they would have somewhere to live and not be homeless after all.

The appointment was set up for them to see the trailer today, but when my mom woke up, he had posted on Facebook saying that he’d had a stroke and was in the hospital.

Upon further discovery, my mom found out from some people that he was a pathological liar. Not only is he an alcoholic, but he lost the trailer he claimed to own in August.

For just a second, there was hope. I was going to close down the campaign, and the funds were going to go towards a deposit for power to their new home! It felt like a weight had been lifted off our chests, only to have them slam back down with even more force than before…

To add insult to injury, one of my mom’s friends saw the post and began to attack her online, calling her a “freeloader” and telling her that she didn’t “look disabled.”

Also, my parents’ gas has been shut off, and their electricity will be turned off by the end of next week.

So, what hope there was is now back at square one, but everyone feels worse for it in the end.

Thank you all for donating and sharing. Please, don’t stop. This has been such and awful situation and your shares and donations mean so much! There are only a couple of days until my parents go to court and likely lose their home, possessions and pets. Time is so critical in this moment.

important things about the dave n karkat in the 4/22 update:

their relationship is ambiguous, but it had time to develop in a healthy way

karkat didnt spend time being jealous of dave and thirsting after terezi in a nasty ass way

now you can all see. terezi wouldn’t be bitter about her boys being happy together….. don’t write her as the salty third wheel/relationship obstacle anymore

their teen years weren’t spent being depressed with no one to talk to
