we went on holidays together when we were younger. at this time it was just a dream for one of us to be in f1 one day and in the end we’re both together in f1, we both won a grand prix, both in monza too. 

i find it rare to have a real friendship, a sincere one in f1 because of the competition. so yes there are friendships and sometimes it’s not very sincere but with pierre it always was. i was really happy that day even if my race went wrong but his win made it a good day.”
