You know, I always wondered what Mori did with Elise when he was a child, like, was her his imaginary best friend, his sister, his cousin… or what? So I thought about it a little bit and I came up with an idea I really liked

What if she was his caretaker?

Like, we know that Elise manifests in the form of what Mori needs the most at the moment, and considering how he is I doubt that his parents were very present to say the least. So, what if the person who took care of Mori was Elise herself? And then when he grew up the tables turned and now Mori is the one who takes care of Elise

I think this is a very interesting dynamic and that it adds a whole new layer to Mori’s character and it shows just how lonely Mori actually is, and kinda makes me sad too. I can’t help but imagine big Elise tucking little Mori to bed right before disappearing as he falls to sleep :sob:

I guess it makes sense that his relationship with Elise would be hard to title if that theory is remotely true– I mean, the girl was his mom for a third of his life and then she just became his daughter? And not to mention that only God knows what Elise was during his teenage years 😰

I really like this headcanon, it just makes everything even more complicated in a cool way, you know?
