Hello 👋,
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Aziz, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt plea to help my family find safety and reunite with our mother. 😞
The ongoing war in Gaza has torn my family apart. My mother and newborn sister are stranded in Egypt, while I, along with the rest of my sex family members, am trapped in the midst of the genocide in Gaza. We have not only been separated but have also lost our home and are enduring unimaginable hardships. 💔
Your support can make a difference. Whether by reading our story, donating, or sharing our campaign with others, you can help us reunite, find safety, and start anew. 🙏🕊
Thank you, from the depths of my heart, for your kindness, compassion, and solidarity during this difficult time. ❤🍉

The lined paper blanket is finally done! It’s made to scale of a college ruled 8.5inx11in piece of paper.
No pattern used, it was entirely self drafted. This took me about 3 months to complete, working on it on and off. I probably put around 80 hours into this blanket so far, but that’s just a rough estimate.

He has eyes! Not sure I got the colour right, but also the one scene he's in is too dark to tell.
Didn't do much besides that today, but he does have the beginning of a waist coat in the making that I forgot to post a picture of yesterday.with luck will finish and sew up his head tomorrow.

Okay, I need an opinion:

Should I go with the 6mm (left) or 9mm (right) eyes?

Progress for today: got one trouser leg completed and about halfway through the other. Will have a number of ends to weave in but when is there not? Supposedly I'll get the safety eyes I ordered on Friday, which means hopefully I'll have his head sewn up by the end of the day.

...and here's the progress for today! He's not so naked any more, though that trouser leg still has 13 rounds to go and then I get to repeat with the other leg.

crochet (and knitting) really is a craft where you have to ask yourself if you know how to count and be prepared for the answer to be a resounding 'no'.
The round I'm working on is (dc 21, dc2tog) 2 times. The row I finished should have 46 stitches (21+2)*2.
I started a round, got to the first decrease, counted the decrease and the number of stitches to the end of the row, and ended up one short. I undid a round, counted the stitches, came up with the correct number, and redid the round.
I counted the number until the increase plus the increase, and then the number to the end of the round, and once again came up short. I counted the total number and got the correct number.
This happened like five times before I finally got the number correct.
