Does anyone else get kinda offended or uncomfortable when people refer to you as the wrong animal/creature?
I swear, as a werefox, I'm so annoyed with the constant werewolf allegations and references.
Like- no! That's my stronger, hotter, older cousin! 😭
I'm the scrapy little twink cousin. 🫥
Please stop getting us confuseddddd (because I'm not cool enough to be a werewolf).

I kind of need a therian rave scene where there’s a brief cut in the music so we can hear
“On all levels except physical, I am a wolf”
& then the EDM music picks up again but is in full blast

Shapeshifter behavior is wild sometimes, like being exposed to an emotion in any form, even online, I automatically mimic it and feel it. Same with personalities and even traits.
(This is probably actually neurodivergence. But I'm literally a shape shifter stuck like this so I'm calling it that.)

Therianthropy
Therianthropy is an alterhuman/alterbeing identity where someone identifies as an animal on any level including physical
Some therians are not aware they are human, that is valid
"But therianthropy is a connection!" this is a common misconception. If you have a connection to an animal(s), that would be Animal/Otherhearted
"You need gear to be a therian!" again another misconception. A lot of therians do not have gear. Nor do they need gear, as therianthropy is an involuntary identity
"Physical therians/transspecies/holotheres are lycanthropes!" no 💔 Lycanthropy is werewolf culture. CLINICAL Lycanthropy is a rare disorder where someone believes that they can physically transform into a werewolf, like twilight or something (that's the best I can explain it 💔)

"I never see amab therians!"
"I never see amab non-binary people!"
Shut up, you shouldn't care. You don't need to know what someone's asab or agab is. All you should care about is the way they personally want to be perceived.
Also, can we shut it with the "I never see male therians! Where are all the boy therians!" They are everywhere actually, there are a lot of trans therians who are boys and I'm sure there are some cis therians who are boys but that shouldn't matter to you.

pictures of koda wearing their tail in nc ^_^
all of these are from our birthday trip to NC last month, we all had so much fun in different ways- it was really cool ask my headmates what they enjoyed the most and compare our various interests!
glenn’s favorite part was definitely seeing the wolf taxidermy in the wildlife refuge visitors center (pictured below), and my favorite part was learning about how they manage the wolves and their historical impact- koda’s favorite part was running around on the dunes in their gear, and rocky’s favorite part was hanging out underneath the pier digging for clams; sophie faced zer fear of the current and went out far enough to get smacked by the waves, and chris was just happy to be back on the beach after years not seeing the ocean- allie and isa loved visiting all the little shops full of trinkets, and luna even developed more as a member while staying in a very nostalgic room filled with decor from our childhood. jake enjoyed getting stoned on someone’s porch watching the storms roll in, and buck’s favorite part was doing the same thing on the beach with our partner- irving was thrilled seeing fish in the tanks at an aquarium, and karson had fun spending the whole time looking for tubby’s stickers and tags (even if thxy didn’t see any); and although mercury felt solemn being back in the place where she initially formed but was forced to leave, sea said it was nice going out on the pier and looking over the endless horizon.

Vivterms that go beyond the body. Calling my necklace my "collar", my siblings my "littermates", my father a "sire" and my mother a "dame", my vocational mentor my "trainer", my food my "kibble", my room my "kennel", my performances a "dog show", my person aid a "walker".

TW Dysphoria -
Every time I walk outside and see a stranger, the stranger sees a human - and it hurts.
Every time I go to the register to pay for merchandise, the cashier sees a human, and it hurts.
Every time I meet someone new, they see a human, and its too awkward to explain I dont see myself that way - and it hurts.
Every time I hang out with my friends, even who I'm out to, they still see a human - and it hurts.
Every time I spend time with my family, they see a human - and it hurts.
It hurts that I'm the only one who sees myself as I am.
It hurts that Im the only one who can feel the wings on by back, itching to take flight, but never to be scratched.
It hurts that I'm the only one who can sense my tail wag when I'm excited, or my ears droop when I'm scared.
They will never see me for who I am, and it hurts.

Listen. How about you just.. use whatever term you feel most comfortable with. No matter if it doesn’t fit the most common definition or if you made it yourself or if it will likely change soon. Just be comfortable with now, and that can also mean going unlabelled. Because in such a time where knowing everything about you is encouraged, it’s fine to admit you just don’t know something yet.
