Virginia added 1,568 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, replacing last Friday’s report of 1,551 cases as the commonwealth’s fourth-highest one-day spike since the pandemic started. Locally, Frederick County reported one death as the Lord Fairfax Health District saw another 50 cases. It’s the health district’s third time since Oct. 28 adding 50 cases in one day. The district, which covers Winchester and the counties of Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah and Warren, has added 398 cases in the last 10 days for a 10-day average of 39.8 cases per day.
