Maybe you aren’t annoying, maybe they were just annoyed. Maybe your entire personality can’t be boiled down to actions others found disruptive. Maybe peoples feelings are subjective views of you, not objective. The same way we teach kids to say “I feel angry when you do this thing” instead of “you made me angry!” maybe you should consider that people, due to their own personal beliefs about social interaction, felt annoyed in response to your actions but that that doesn’t necessarily mean you did something bad or are something bad. And while its sweet that you want to make sure people don’t have negative feelings, there’s a lot of humans in this world and we’re always going to be stepping on each others toes so maybe don’t let people feeling annoyed with you define you.

You are a whole person. You don’t need another person to complete you. You complete yourself. Relationships are wonderful and special, but so are you. Don’t let people make you feel down if you haven’t found “the one” yet. There is no rush. Love yourself.

Alex Bollinger at LGBTQ Nation:
Saint Lucia’s law banning homosexuality has been declared unconstitutional in a historic ruling by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court. “This decision is deeply personal. For many years, we’ve worked to see the rights, lives, and dignity of LGBTQ+ persons in Saint Lucia and the OECS protected,” said Kenita Placide, executive director of Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality (ECADE), an LGBTQ+ organization in the Caribbean. “Today’s ruling is not just a win in the courts, it also represents a step towards justice for the many lives lost to violence simply for being themselves. It signals that our Caribbean can and must be a place where all people are free and equal under the law.” At issue were the Caribbean island nation’s gross indecency and buggery laws, sections 132 and 133 of the Criminal Code of Saint Lucia, which criminalize same-sex relations even in private. Under each of those laws, consensual male homosexuality could be punished with up to ten years’ imprisonment. Even attempting to “commit buggery” could be met with a sentence of five years.
Saint Lucia is the latest Caribbean nation to have their colonial-era anti-LGBTQ+ "buggery" law struck down.

I don’t know who needs to hear this right now but your worth does not come from whether you’re employed right now or not. It does not come in the form of a number on the scale. It doesn’t come from the grades you receive. And it certainly does not come from the opinion of others. Your worth as a human being is inherent please do not let anyone else allow you to think otherwise <3

“University of Minnesota Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) last week launched the Vaccine Integrity Project, led by former FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg and National Academy of Medicine past president Harvey Fineberg, to shore up U.S. vaccination policy. The initiative will convene experts to review vaccine safety data and develop independent recommendations, responding to concerns about political interference.”

Everyone makes mistakes, even mistakes that hurt people. What is important is that you grow from them. It is okay to make big mistakes, to fuck up, to feel like the world is ending from them AND, What is important is that you keep going. The world is not ending. This is normal. You can fix this or work on it or grow. You are not a bad person for making mistakes.

Shit is going to happen.
Your friend is going to ghost you. You are not going to get the job. Your car is going to break down at the worst time. Your boss is going to have unrealistic demands and deadlines. Your basement is going to flood.
Life hurts.
No matter how recovered you are. No matter how stable you are. No matter how much you excel at using your toolbox of strategies.
Life hurts.
You are not going to go through it being a happy little bean all of the time.
So, don’t put that pressure on yourself.
If you do, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. You’ll fear that you’re slipping, experiencing a setback, losing your recovery, when the negative emotions come.
Instead, the more you heal, the better you get at coping with this all too painful thing called life, the less hard those moments will hit. Oh, they will still hit, they will still suck, but they won’t suck for as long or as much. You’ll see the other side of them and know happiness is waiting there for you again.

“that person is using that label wrong!1!” well sometimes abstract ideas don’t align with lived realities and sometimes language has limitations and sometimes categories are fake. and honestly? that’s none of your business

pride month is about to start, so lemme say something real quickly: happy pride to all the queer Jews out there who might feel left out of their communities (this goes for the queer and the Jewish communities) and also that Hashem loves you as you are and you don’t need to ever hate yourself for being different or convince yourself that you need changing!! 🩷 (and for the queer Jews who don’t believe in g-d, I just hope you have a good month!!)
