One of my fave things about "The Last Time" is that Taylor sings in a low voice and Gary sings in a high voice; as if she's defeated and saying "no seriously this is the last fucking time how can you not see this is real to me" but Gary's voice is that light hopeful fuck boy voice that's "I promise babe it'll never happen again" and then it's the "last time" because "it was the moment you knew" even if his dumbass didn't. #taylorswift #taylorswiftisalegend #thelasttime #garylightbody #taylorisamastermind
That and his pr is going over time trying to push the narrative that he's gonna be Jack sparrow even though the executive heads have repeatedly said this isn't true. Why would anyone want a wifebeating rapist who assaults crew members, needs an ear piece cause he's too drunk and high to remember his lines, and never turns up to work.
So I know this sounds super conspiracy theory, but ever since that letter came out supporting Amber half my suggested posts on Instagram have been pro Depp videos. I run a cocktail insta. Up until now every suggested post was cocktails with maybe the very occassional clip from a talk show featuring one of the 6 actors I follow (all of them marvel actors). I feel like he's put money into bots again or something.
I feel similarly about the reaction to Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as I do towards the reactions to the dissappearance of Madeleine Mccann and by that i mean that there's a whole load of people on any sides of these cases who seem to have appointed themselves experts on body language and facial expressions and what that says about guilt.
"Oh these parents arent crying enough, they must be guilty", "Oh NOW they're crying and obviously faking it". "Look at his/her expression and tell me thats a victim", "If he/she was a real victim they would be acting more scared", "actual victims would have backed away from the lawsuit". Like give it UP, this is madness you cannot deduce someone's victimhood or evilness by looking at them (certainly not on the TV or even worse, still photos). People react differently to threats, under pressure, during intense emotion, this isnt something you can just pin down like "Look at my screenshot ive proven him/her guilty" thats not how anything works.
And in this context, i assure you, no matter whose side youre on, you are not doing victims of domestic violence any favours by perpetuating the idea that one can simply gauge guilt by looking at them, that Real Victims behave in only one way and if they deviate from that then they are lying.
the amount of men gleefully rejoicing at the news of the Johnny Depo trial and writing “finally MeToo is over” and “Johnny is only the first” and calling Amber a cunt and a slut is TERRIFYING and i will never ever ever ever forgive all the women that stood behind them and spewed vitriol at Amber Heard and helped push the idea that powerful men are harmed and not protected by institutions.
