Times You’ve Rooted For Evil
The ending of Game Of Thrones episode has left a lot of fans in dismay...
“Mad Queen”
“How could Daenerys do that?!”
I’m here to say you’re a giant hypocrite and I’ll prove how using prior examples of when you’ve rooted for the bad guy maybe without knowing.
Numero Uno prime example
Tumblr media
When Walt was just trying to cook meth to leave enough money for his family after he passed no one minded. He was a hero, savior, a good guy for providing for his family. For those who’ve seen the series, Walt’s cancer doesn’t take him out as quickly as he intended. He’s left with the decision to stop while he’s ahead or to continue cooking because he’s the best there is. Over the course of the series, Walt continues to make millions upon millions of dollars cooking meth while ruining the lives of plenty of innocent people. By the end of the show, he becomes mad with power and turns on the people he cared about most. I’m sure some of you reading this blog wanted Walt to continue cooking and making money no matter how many people he killed. I know I did because it made the show a million times better. If Walt had stopped after he made enough money to leave for his family that show would have blown and you’re crazy to think otherwise.

I could be out on an island with this take but in all honesty, when Anakin turned to the dark side I thought it was a phenomenal twist. He was getting porked by the Jedi council for way too long even though he was the best Jedi there ever was. Obie Won didn’t even have his back! Once he turned to the dark side his power essentially quadrupled. Him continuing to be the intern of the Jedi council would have been fackin teeeeeerible and boring as shit. Unfortunately just like with Walt and Daenery’s the power went to his head and he became blind to his power and betrayed the ones he cared most about. He tried convincing Padme to be about that life but she was a squid and wasn’t having it just like Jon Snow. Overall I was a big fan of evil Anakin and thought he was a fuckin beast. Still pissed he took that L against Obie Won. Never go against someone with high ground, you learn that in Jedi 101.
After providing those examples let’s break down as to why I, along with others rooted for the greatest female show character of all time. (Ya I said it, name one female character better) Also as to how it ties back to the two characters above.
Tumblr media
Our first impression of Daenery’s is similar to both Walt and Anakin; we feel bad for their unfortunate situations. We start to root for their success and believe in their mission. As their character plot continues all 3 of them become the most powerful people in their respected worlds. With power, comes hate and envy...all 3 scenarios peers start to go against them and want them to quit while they're ahead. As we know all 3 of them decided to lay waste until there was essentially nothing left. Daenery’s decided to burn King’s Landing to the Ground, Walt killed all who opposed him, and Anakin did the same as Walt pretty much. ONCE AGAIN, had Daenery’s just heard the bells of King’s Landing and decided to spare the city that episode would've been complete assss. I thought it made for a much more exciting end to the series. If Jon and Daenerys just started taking over Westeros that would’ve been fire.
Overall my point is without these characters turning mad from power the plots would have been dull and underwhelming. So maybe even you didn’t root for these characters in the end like I did. I hope this blog helped you have an epiphany that without these characters becoming what they had become, we all would be sitting here very disappointed. Protagonist turning antagonist are the coolest characters...Prove me wrong.

What it takes to win in the NFL vs. NBA
As the NFL free agency kicked off today at 4:00pm Eastern time I couldn’t help but notice the Patriots not go out and sign any studs to massive contracts. The Patriots, on the contrary, have looked at guys who have gone under the radar either in the draft or current players in the league and offer them short money. An example being Super Bowl 53′s MVP in Julian Edelman who was a quarterback in college.
The Patriots seem to win super bowls with these cheap, average, and some would even shit players; while other teams in the NFL fight and slave over landing the top players in the league offering big money contracts. Here are some of the contracts that have happened this offseason...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The last one being dead hilarious because Bill plucked Trent Brown from the 49′ers on a one year deal with $1,907,000! Now he’s earning over 15 mil a year!
The next portion will look at the NBA and how those teams approach winning...
The NBA is the complete and utter opposite. Right now every team in the league is attempting to build their own “Super Team”. The last team to successfully build from the ground up through the draft process would be the Warriors; they drafted Steph, Klay, and Draymond in a 4-year span. Quickly I want to say that In reality, hitting on 3 all-stars and 2 of them being some of the greatest shooters of all time in a 4-year span, you would have a better chance of winning the lottery.  Nowadays believing you can win through the building in the draft honestly seems laughable.
Just some examples of Super teams in the NBA...Houston Rockets , my very own Boston Celtics , and now the Golden State Warriors have taken the term “Super Team” to a new level. Depending on who you ask these are three best teams in the NBA. All pretty much created through going out and signing big free agents. Also if you wanted to argue that the Celtics have built through the draft as well with guys like Tatum and Brown go back and look where the hell they even got those picks from in the first place...
When comparing the 2 leagues it is pretty fascinating what wins in the NFL vs. NBA. In the NFL the Patriots have proved through trusting the draft and signing under the radar players to cheap money winning Superbowls are possible. Opposed to the NBA where if you don't have AT LEAST 2 superstars then you can look forward to going the Bahamas in April and not the playoffs.
My reason as to how the fuck the Patriots pull this off is pretty simple
Otherwise, I truly believe the NFL would be the same as NBA. Everyone trying to build their own “Super Team”.

Currently obsessed with Air Max’s
Air Max’s are in a league of their own when it comes to sneakers. They not only dropped one of the newest and dopest styles like the Air max 270′s, but also are able to bring back old styles and have them be relevant such as the Air Max 95′s or 97′s. I currently own the Air max 270′s ad the 95′s and couldn't be happier.  There are only a few kinds of sneakers that can do this nowadays. Such as Jordans with their old school and new school styles. Also, Adidas with their superstar shoes (Sometimes referred to as shell toe) were not only popular back in the day but also popular now, and they still release new school shoes such as the yeezys or NMD’s.
I’m sure some people would say “WhAt AbOuT tHe CoNvErSe ChUcK TaYlOrS????”. To that, I say yes those were not only extremely popular back in the day and still popular now. Can you name any other converse shoes that you eagerly anticipate the release for? Didn’t think so. I will give credit where credit is due though and say the Converse Chuck Taylor collab with Off White is fire.
The conclusion being Nike has a great thing going when it comes to Air Max's. Pretty unique when you think about it and I can’t wait to purchase the 97′s next. A quick point to be made is that some clothing brands are also doing this right now such as Champion and FILA making huge comebacks.
If you’re a sneakerhead like myself I highly recommend watching the documentary on Netflix called “Sneakerheadz”.
Below I have posted pictures of all the shoes I listed above as a frame of reference. (Chronological order of when they were mentioned in the blog)
When I share to Twitter the thumbnail is the Chuck Taylors Off White Collab because it’s at the bottom of the blog. For that reason, I’m going to post my favorite Air Max’s strictly for Twitter at the bottom.
Thanks for reading.

Shit Box
I’m a movie buff, snob, hardo, and self-proclaimed “movie king”. Big fan of movies mostly because I’m a lazy shit and it gives me the chance to lay around for a couple of hours and forget about all the responsibilities I have.
I’m writing this blog about the new trending movie Bird Box. I want to set the record straight
BIRD BOX DOES NOT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE!
Is Bird Box a bad movie? No, it’s relatively entertaining with an interesting plot and barely average cast. The reason I was so let down by this film I blame strictly on social media. After seeing numerous memes come up on my IG feed about this movie I figured I might as well give it a shot; If everyone is talking about it, it must be good right? Wrong, I believe nowadays due to modern social norms people get FOMO if they aren’t up to date on the latest meme. That being said…IF you are someone loves good movies and is looking forward to watching Bird Box for a thrilling and gripping experience then don’t watch it. IF you are someone who can’t stand on being left out of the fun about memes, then definitely watch this movie because the memes are fuckin hilarious. I luckily fell somewhere in-between both of these categories of people, though I was sadly let down by Bird Box, the memes did make it somewhat worth it. At the bottom of the blog, I have inserted a few of my favorites.
My biggest bone to pick with Bird Box is that this plot was done 10 years ago in a movie called The Happening. That movie also blew, here’s a clip of Marky Mark trying his best to look surprised. Simply put the plot was don’t go outside otherwise you’re gonna wanna shoot your head off for no apparent reason. Sounds similar to Bird Box right? Though I will give Bird Box credit because it’s reasoning for the suicidal tendencies was a lot better than The Happening. I would go into more detail but don’t wanna spoil anything.
All in all, I gave Bird Box an even 7/10. Like I said if you’re strictly a movie buff, don’t have high expectations (Go watch Bandersnatch instead, it’s revolutionary for the movie industry); if you’re obsessed with meme trends then definitely watch it because in about a week these memes will have come and gone.
