It’s fitting that the name of this era this is the Jubilee of Hope, with all the conflicts, crime, war, and sin around the world. It seems messier than ever, sometimes on the brink of something exploding with emotion or violence. Now more than ever, we need hope. What is hope? It’s many things, but truly, our hope has a name, His name is Jesus Christ, our Savior. We wait for Him to come again with great hope, just like the hope long ago when they awaited Him, as hope for the Messiah. Only God can satisfy the longings of our soul, not money or power.

btw you should absolutely read stuff you don't agree with. you should think critically about it. you should reflect and find different stimuli and maybe even form your own thought based on or opposed to it. ideas aren't contagious and reading words someone else has told you are "bad" won't infect you like a virus and make you "evil". read with your own brain.

Let's pray for Syrian Christians! Yesterday (June 22nd), during the mass, there was a suicide bomber who bombed himself inside of the Church.

The bomber is confirmed to be a member of ISIS Jihadist group. It's confirmed that some people died (I don't know the number). Some days before the attack on walls of the church it was written "Your turn is next". Church in question is Mar Elias. You can see the footage and more news and updates on the @eastern_christians channel on instagram. I can't recommend them enough, they are great for staying in touch with their community!

Let's pray for our brothers and sisters, let's spread the news and make it known what they are going through!

And let's remember this verse:
