HAH, THE KING WASTES his time on such trivialities as this, yet he does nothing to make the country better for those struggling to make ends meet. The slave trade was still strong here, a process that he personally found abhorrent for personal reasons he’d rather not linger on (a country as grand as this was only so because of the suffering of others). Amon would have laughed at the hypocrisy if it wasn’t suspicious, and as such, it took much for him to not sneer at the other’s words. Still, he should not care for such things. He was trained to focus only on the mission at hand—to follow orders without fail no matter how much they clashed against what morality he still had buried deep within his heart.
A moral assassin was a useless one.
The name ❛Narsus❜ most certainly rang a bell, Amon unable to conceal the surprise that crossed his features as eyes widened. No wonder those eyes were so sharp. He had heard a great deal about this particular noble. His intellect was beyond his years—a truly formidable member of the King’s Court that knew the ways of ❛the game❜ nobles played far too well…and he could read deception as if it was painted upon a white canvas just as easily. The risk involved in this mission was high, so much that Amon wondered if this would be his final one. It wasn’t as if men like himself tended to live to old age,
Tumblr media
❝❛Tis a pleasure to meet you, Lord Narsus. My name is Leraje, and I promise to play my finest so the king never feelshamed to have chosen me. I truly feel honored for this opportunity.❞ He stood then, first placed upon his heart as his head bowed. All he need do is gain favor with all those close to the king, and then it would be easier to end his life when his guard was down. Everyone would be none the wiser that he was the one sent to slit his throat.
🎨 ░▒    For the manner in which he speaks through the tongue signifies not an unlearned man, Leraje’s eyes possesses the look of a knowing man that has seen the plights and shadows of the world. Narsus only wonders in irresolute perchance would such an intelligence man condemn himself to mindless manhunts, nevertheless if his skills could be prodded to be bent to the task of goodwill, he doubts not that the musician would make a decent fine man.
Albeit, for the sake of the kingdom, such decisions are not within his power to make. Andragoras wears the personification of a tyranny man, yet not without reason, for the very sworn gestures of his rule elicits both fear and respect through the entirety of his army. And it is on such fear that Pars has been undefeated in the long years during his reign.
Tumblr media
A moment of silence before his response pursues, bringing with it a lithe sense of passive grace. “Leraje, your presence in the palace would be a subtle welcome to the Sindhurian merchants as well as our other guests. There is need for entertainment when his Majesty attends yet his foreign visitors. However, I too, shall see that you are properly tended to. Would you not then be present at the ceremony of the Year-End festival?”

Oho, nice to see official art of Narsus and Gieve together! This is a purchase bonus for blu-ray/DVDs 5-8 from Tsutaya. I like that ‘sample’ is written in Parsian!

The future is a concept, it doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as tomorrow. There never will be, because time is always now. That’s one of the things we discover when we stop talking to ourselves and stop thinking. We find there is only present, only an eternal now.

🎨 ░▒     So dwells not the pleasantries of misconceptions, Narsus finds the striking sense of a lingering irritation at being accused. Boundless had been the non-existent honour that he should endure the plight of wrongdoings when fault was not on his side, then again, disagreements were not a token of comfort, when business partners were at the brink of monetary discussions... everyone was concerned with money, or perhaps, opting for the path in which they are granted the chance to reap benefits from a scalable project such as this.
A voice addressing his own prompts the blond to turn around in spite of a foreign tone; like a fox abandoning its attempt on sour grapes when permitted to be met with a familiar, and Narsus shuts his phone abruptly, a smile conjured in pursue of a friendly conversation. After all, had he not had enough of the money-minded fools to pass the week?
Tumblr media
“An artist is an artist through and through it matters not that skills are bend to musical keys or brush on canvas. However, I, too, habour the feeling that we’ve met before, perhaps not only on sublime concerts------your role in the musical industry is not unknown.” Subtle conversations proves better company in comparison to the bickering sense of controversial topics. Guiding only by instincts of interest, Narsus retrieve the card to smile down at the name imprinted on it. “There is no better way than to spend it on appreciating exemplary art. I don’t suppose you’d be willing on offering me company for the entire week? For I intend to take a supplement leave to make up for lost holidays.”

Hello! I was wondering if Narsus is painting in the 2nd part? If he is, are they getting any better?
Nope, he’s still just as untalented and bad at painting as he was in the 1st part. It’s kind of a running gag of this series XD

Narsus: Ah, let him take the credit.
Narsus: We don't need praise or glory.
Gieve: Praise and glory are two of my favourite things.

Joy;; Soo I feel like I can no longer be very active on here when RL has become a little hectic since a while ago—-my event ended but now exams are coming and I have a lot of things to catch up to, the usual countless assignments, spending time on RL friends. ACTUALLY, I’ve been rather lucky in RL as of late? My circle of friends expanded since I joined the committee, and for the first time since I started school I’ve found people who are the same as me–we share similar interests and speak the same topics, unlike my course mates who made me feel like I didn’t belonged. I DONT hate having people in company for perhaps, the first time since my best friends moved to the other side of the city, and I wanted these people in my life more than anything. We’ve gotten rather close very quickly, which I hope is a good thing.
BUT ANYWAY, I can’t keep up with too many things at the same time. So I plan on letting this blog run on queue and throw replies / Arslan Senki reblogs into the ready queue and let it post on its own instead of appearing dead, UNTIL I have sufficient time/muse to spend on here again.
