isn't it better to live in a world where mysteries remain? where a staircase in a forest hints at leading somewhere besides the blank patch of air at its peak? where you lose your keys only to find them later on already inserted in the lock? where you forget how to think in any language besides colloquial scottish? where a man's bones are replaced with rigatoni one day and nobody notices? where a misplaced step at the local open air market causes it to rain bats?

#LesserBoston - A GB hashtag just for fans!
Hey there Greater Bostonians! As you may have noticed, I spend a good amount of time reblogging wonderful things you make or create related to our show. I do this partly because I’m thrilled to see anything like that at all (THANK YOU) and because I want to share your enthusiasm for Greater Boston. That seems part of the point of having a tumblr page related to the show in the first place.  BUT! We recognize that fans deserve their own spaces, especially on tumblr. We’ve already vowed not to read fan fiction related to the show, but we want you to have the space to make posts about our show that we can’t see because you all absolutely deserve that.  So here we go - #LesserBoston will be a hashtag we block that you should feel free to use however you want. Don’t want us reading a post, seeing a piece of fan art? Want to rant about a recent episode? Don’t want to risk us seeing / reblogging something? This is the hashtag we recommend you use. And because this is a new thing, we’d appreciate you helping us get the word out about this.  Thanks for digging our show, thanks for talking about it, making stuff about it, and being wonderful people in general. We seriously are so thrilled you exist at all and we can’t thank you enough, and we hope you enjoy your own space to cut loose on the Red Line.

Please listen to Greater Boston, because it is easily one of the best audio drama podcasts out there.
Please listen to Greater Boston, because in some ways it’s a story about what it means to belong to a community, and about grief and loss forcing you to confront your own deepest flaws, and about the unbelievable impact that one tiny action by one person can have on innumerable other people, and how that is a terrible responsibility, and how it’s one of the most beautiful things in the world. And in some ways it’s a story about “What if Boston, but actually the city was trains, and also maybe some evil cheese robots?”
Please listen to Greater Boston, because it starts off by taking the closest thing to a central character that the narrative has, in the first episode, and immediately killing him off via roller-coaster-induced existential crisis. And the tragicomic absurdity only escalates from there.
Please listen to Greater Boston because Panda Discourse.
Please listen to Greater Boston, because it plays wildly and cleverly with narrative and storytelling and the fourth wall and “turns out the real villain is the framing device” is a thing that I’ve said about it.
Please listen to Greater Boston because they know how to use the fuck word better than like anyone else alive basically.
Please listen to Greater Boston because it has a huge and loveable and brilliantly written ensemble of characters who are complicated and dynamic and real-feeling and fantastically written and performed, whether the situation is that the character is coping with their relapsed alcoholism, or that they are talking about what new advice the ghost of Mary Wollstonecraft has given them about once again changing their legal name.
Please listen to Greater Boston, because I know how much yall love good queer characters and the central cast includes married lesbian mothers with a complicated but profoundly loving relationship who accidentally end up in the middle of the most thoroughly absurd political campaign possible, because among the other characters are a dorky chaotic neutral gay reporter and his fiance, and a profoundly hilarious and foul-mouthed bisexual veterinary student, and an HR manager with frankly terrible taste in men but a genuinely good heart, and a brilliant aroace mayoral assistant, and a polyamorous commune and some nonbinary side characters and all of these people are interesting and funny and heartwrenching and I love all of them so much.
Please listen to Greater Boston because you deserve to experience the powerhouse of a character who is Isabelle Powell.
Please listen to Greater Boston, because you’ll get to hear the context of phrases like “That’s a LOT of beets!” and “Seriously? Who doesn’t like a sexy pillow fight?” and “The willow lark fucks a scone by moonlight!” and to experience the funniest fake ads I’ve ever heard and to know what a Nacho Flume is and also hear a guy, the two dudes currently kidnapping him, and a ghost argue about the plural of hippopotamus.
Please listen to Greater Boston, because it will make you have a profound emotional reaction when you hear the numbers one through twelve, and also Feel Things about Google Calendar.
Please listen to Greater Boston because the answer to the question “Who the hell just carries around a grappling hook in their purse???” is “LADIES MAKING A DIFFERENCE.”
Please listen to Greater Boston, because it’s weird and wonderful and gutwrenchingly sad and indescribably funny and impossibly heartwarming and I love it and I think you will too.

Tbqh, I’m pretty sure one of the most Bostonian things about Boston is the fact that they’ve named their subway passes after a character in a song all about how Boston’s subway fare hikes suck.
