Haechan x Reader

You tightly closed your eyes, biting the handkerchief he has stuffed your mouth with just a while ago.

He tapped his fingers lightly, making you jolt.

"Shhh baby, you have to calm down or else it would hurt more." He leaned over to kiss your forehead, lifting his hand from in between your legs to wipe your tears away.

Only making things messier, because his wet fingers can't dry your tears. "Oops, sorry. My princess is kinda messy down there."

You groaned, eyebrows furrowing. A signal for him that you're both nervous and impatient for him to do something about the heat building inside of you.

"Breathe princess," he coaxed you, slowly bringing his fingers back to where they were before. In between your legs. He swiped his middle finger in between your folds, signaling that he's going to start again "I will never hurt you baby, I promise." He kissed your shoulder, his other hand still holding your hands above your head.

Seeing how impatient and tired you are getting, he decided to place himself in between your legs.

Fidgeting with your wedding ring, you checked the clock for the nth time tonight.

Your husband and his ex aren’t back from going out to eat and play as they call it. It has been like this since the day Haechan got out of the hospital, and to say that it’s breaking you is an understatement.

“That was fun babe! We should do that again, how about tomorrow hmm? You’re so gorgeous damn.” He kissed Jina’s forehead after giving her the most loving compliment you’ve ever heard him say ever since the accident.

Jina giggled before speaking, “You’re drunk baby, let’s get you to bed now okay?” She tried cupping his face because your husband was moving too much due to too much drinking.

Your husband nodded obediently while smiling, “As you command, gorgeous.” He sent her a wink as both of them burst out into giggles. Playing as if it’s just the two of them in the world, as if they were really in a relationship, and as if there was no complication. Complication called the wife.

You just stood there, watching them as they ignored your presence. You weren’t actually sure if they did that on purpose or if they really forgot that you and Haechan are married.

After reminding yourself that this was not your husband, this was the Haechan before you came to his life, I’ll bring my husband back, You started walking towards the bathroom to get a towel and a basin filled with water.

“I’ll take that,” It was Jina. She reached her hands towards the basin your holding but you moved away, “I’ll do it, I can take care of him.”

“You know he’s not gonna let you,” she answered, standing straight with her arms crossed.

“He will, I’m his wife.” You answered firmly.

She chuckled, “I don’t care.” She raised an eyebrow as she forcefully took the basin from you. She was about to get out of the door but she stopped.

“Excuse me Ms. wife, your husband— oh no, soon to be ex-husband told me he wanted to get divorce.” She smiled, “He loves me, not you.”

Days after the incident between you and Jina, she went out of town because someone from her business called. It’s the first day that you and your husband are finally going to be alone.

You were cooking dinner when you heard him going down from upstairs.

“Where are you going?” You asked, “Oh, I’m going out.” He answered nonchalantly.

“I cooked dinner, can’t you stay for tonight?” You spoke while walking towards him. He turned around, and something about seeing your smiling face made his heart jump for a second.

He took a deep breathe, taking the sight of you in your apron and a simple loose bun while looking at him. He knew you loved him, he’s not stupid, he could tell by the way your eyes shine while looking at his eyes.

Come to think of it, he never really stared at you this long since going out of the hospital. He never had the chance to look at the details of your face, how your cheeks turn red just by talking to him and how even the smallest conversations helps paint a smile on your soft lips.

“I–it’s okay if you can’t stay, I understand if you—” you stammered, blushing furiously at how Haechan stared.

“No I’ll stay. I think it’ll rain soon, so I don’t think going out is a good idea.” He said plainly after clearing his throat. That was when he realized that his heart was beating fast. He turned around to hide it, removing his leather jacket while trying to compose himself.

He cleared his throat once again before turning back around, “What did you cook?” He asked, trying to start a conversation.

“I made some kimchi jjigae,” you smiled, it was his favorite dish.

“Really? let’s try it then, I’m starving.” And it felt like it was the first time ever, he smiled at you. You were sure your heart melted, it was so warm, so welcoming, how you wish he would look at you that way everyday.

You both were laughing while eating.

God, please don’t let this end… You wished secretly while staring at his laughing face.

“I did that?” He asked laughing, “Yes, because you didn’t want your friends to see me drunk wasted. You won’t believe how much alcohol you took for me that day.” You answered laughing, reminiscing the first time he introduced you to his friends at the bar.

Back then he knew how messily adorable you become when drunk so he said he wanted to keep that for himself, he took all of the drinks offered by his friends to you.

“Damn, I must’ve been really wasted the day after.” He commented.

Your conversations continued, and you can’t explain how happy your heart was. He was listening to the stories, the memories both of you made. There it was again, hope.

As if on cue the lights turned off, and harsh thunder roared angrily.

You screamed in shock, you’re afraid of the thunders and Haechan noticed that. As if a habit, he used his body to protect you. Hushing you while rubbing your lower back to calm you down.

“It’s okay, I’m here.”

And just like that you started bawling. You’re weak, you know that. But you’ve been trying to hide all of that since the day of the accident. You didn’t want to lose so you’ve decided to not lean onto others for help.

But you always knew you needed your husband, and hearing him say that made you cry not out of sadness but of extreme happiness.

He kissed your forehead while helping you carefully stand up. He guided you to your room, helping you lay down the bed. “Stay here, I’ll get the emergency light.”

You quickly caught his hand.

“Please… Please stay.” You sobbed.

He doesn’t understand, but seeing how vulnerable you are made his heart sting. He wanted to protect you, to hold you, and so he did.

He laid beside you, pulling you close to him and caging you in his warmth.

“It would’ve been better if I hadn’t forgotten you.” He whispered as you fell asleep in his arms.
