I once heard a jewelry historian say that one of the reasons we are attracted to sparkle is that it affects a primitive part of our brain that is always looking for water. Makes sense to me!

I lived for the opening of the Cher Show. Every episode, she’d start out in an over-the-top fabulous cape, and then everyone would wait with bated breath until she flung it off and walked forward in a body-skimming matching gown or jumpsuit. There’s nothing like a great reveal!
