So! Post The Witch’s Decision! I survived it lol! And now I couldn’t help but think about Jugram and Bazz. Jugram is with Hyuna, bearing the weight of responsibility for the Quincy and his own personal trauma, and balancing it with his loyalty to Yhwach who gave him purpose and promises a new dawn for the Quincy, and might have forced himself to come to see the Quincy life Yhwach took as necessary sacrifices for the Quincy’s future to not crumble under his own guilt serving Yhwach after sacrificing his flawed but warm friendship with Bazz and fellow Quincy. Now, Hyuna would NOT have sided with Yhwach, but that’s beside the point.
So, Bazz I think would agree more with Mizi’s perspective. How can you go on without thinking of all the Quincy that died in Yhwach’s conquest? How can you not think of the Quincy that will die in the future with Yhwach continuing his war? Bazz had a family too, were their lives simply fuel for the possibility of a future? What kind of future can they even hope for under a tyrant like Yhwach? These are the questions that shaped Bazz’s love for his family like it shaped Mizi’s final decision with the rocket. It was different but it was certainly love. It became a need for revenge to make the weight of the guilt of surviving without your family just a bit easier to bear, even if only for a moment.
Had there been a conversation between them before that final encounter, I want to think it would have ended up like Hyuna and Mizi’s, a discussion of ideology that masks the pain beneath. Jugram needs to believe the sacrifices now will benefit the Quincy in the future, because if they don’t, he’ll have to face the fact his personal sacrifice wasn’t worth it. He’ll have to answer to himself why he felt so frustrated telling Uryu Quincy must live and die for Yhwach, and that answer would crush him, so he must continue forward serving Yhwach without thinking about what was trampled. Bazz ended up serving Yhwach too, likely because he was so emotionally broken by Yhwach’s claim all his talent was taken from Jugram and he didn’t even know it he needed to have his abilities acknowledged by the strongest Quincy he knew. And once there, he’d keep provoking Jugram until he finally told him why he chose Yhwach, knowing he’d killed his family. But eventually, Bazz became genuinely loyal to Yhwach, a betrayal of his love for his family, that came back once Yhwach betrayed the Sternritter. So Bazz’s ideals returned, his questions of why Yhwach would sacrifice so many, but their pain is centered on Jugram. The only person he questions really is Jugram. He already knows Yhwach is a terrible man, but did Jugram know? Did he realize what Yhwach planned and didn’t bother to warn the Sternritter so as many of them would die as possible, Bazz included? Why did Bazz who witnessed his family’s death by Yhwach forget that when he swore his loyalty? Was it because seeing Jugram’s loyalty he too became convinced despite everything? Then, is Jugram why he betrayed his family as the only surviving member? Then, all he can do is get revenge, even if he knows he’ll die. There are no right answers in a conversation like this, just perspectives built on loss and a drive to overcome it.
In the end it was Jugram who survived to do what Mizi did, make one action that would lead to Yhwach’s demise, even if he wasn’t certain it would work out in the end. While Mizi’s decision to foil the rebellions plans defined her and ended with her villainized (I do NOT agree with that at all by the way, Mizi did what had to be done in her perspective just as much as Hyuna did it just sucks all of Hyuna’s hopes ended up not coming true because of it), I’m curious to see how Jugram’s actions will define him if Uryu ever says what his last words to him were. Would that one action be enough to balance the legacy of the Sternritter Grandmaster?

Yoooo so what if Kubo pulls a Vivimeng and reveals Bazz to be alive after all that (I always believed Till was alive by significant implication he was unlike with Bazz) and in the post war where the Quincy’s are trying to rebuild and understand Jugram’s actions Bazz is the one that lives on with his memories of Jugram when he was a child and probably his most true, open self and Jugram as the Sternritter Grandmaster and uses them to assure anyone who will listen despite everything, Jugram cared. A lot. He cared about the Quincy, just enough more than Yhwach in the end. And, from somewhere deep in his heart he kept buried by a need to feel secure, he cared very much for Bazz until the end too (I’m so delusional and happy and confused by Karma right now).

I have a late night question! So I looked it up of course but I was hoping someone fluent in mandarin could come across this and could help me out to make sure! So, I wanted this name to reference poison and treasure, and what I got in the end is Dú-Bǎozàng.
Now, keeping in mind that name is meant to be something you’d almost give an object instead of a person by someone fluent in mandarin of which I am not, I was wondering, is this actually a correct way of writing it? Also, is there a way to add a reference to flowers in the name in a way that makes sense?

Some really late night odd ideas tonight! I’m rewatching detective conan recently. Side note, it’s not even that serious, but the way these people stare at a clearly unconscious person yapping about a murder and are like good job!! Then Conan just walks in after everything’s over?? It took damn near 60 episodes to finally have that pointed out??
Anyway to my point, do any of y’all think windscream and gin/vermouth give a similar vibe?? Starscream is Vermouth for me though.

Come get your juice Bazz B fans!
Hello, I just finished writing the first chapter for my very first fanfiction! It takes place in an alternative universe post TYBW where Jugram survived, and the main cast wake up in a mysterious afterlife. Of course, it's Jugobazz, but it's focused more on character development, and Jugram actually barely appears.

I hope you'll enjoy it!

So I know, what a reach, right? But I swear there’s parallels!
Like, the fundamental reasons SG Jetfire and Jugram chose the opposing and more morally questionable side over their “friends”. For the stability and safety strength promised, but most importantly the potential to reach a great enough height their past will no longer touch them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both these friendships had a dream that defined them, though for Jugram’s case it was only a means to stay close to Bazz.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the fallout of their close relationship with Starscream and Bazz had a similar cause: an action that made it clear where their loyalties now lay.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But there is a difference: Jetfire ultimately chose to side with Starscream when truly tested, because as he said Starscream’s words had the power to shake him.
Tumblr media
Jugram didn’t choose Bazz. But both Jugram and Jetfire had to face the same regret of not choosing their friend over power when they had the chance.

More jugobazz and ivantill thoughts.
So one thing that intrigues me about these ships is the EYES! The look in Ivan and Jugram’s eyes because of Till and Bazz. And the different meanings/causes of it!
For Jugram, their eyes were blank when they first met Bazz, reflecting how they’re a child with little self esteem and little will to do anything for themselves, and live under the pressure of their uncle.
Tumblr media
Even so, Jugram doesn’t actually make any attempt to leave the conversation, taking the time to explain they don’t have any friends, and asking Bazz to not call them Jugo, which makes me think despite whatever warning their uncle gave them, Jugram was happy to finally have someone to talk to. It isn’t until Bazz presses him on what his uncle calls him Jugram seems to think about their uncle again, which makes them tell Bazz to leave him alone so he can catch a rabbit, surely because if he didn’t he’d be punished by his uncle.
But after Bazz throws the rabbit, his button, and tells Jugram he’ll take him under his wing and most importantly, don’t worry about what the grown ups say, Jugram’s eyes get a soft, very touched look to them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s probably the first time in Jugram’s memory that someone offered to care for him, teach him, and offer him a place at their side as the strongest Quincy. And it’s clear by the look in his eyes this moment is what will shape his future, especially with his uncle dead after Yhwach arrived at their homeland. Bazz was the first to offer Jugram something to hold on to for support and companionship, so he devoted his life to supporting Bazz’s goal to defeat Yhwach, because Bazz was his reason to keep existing in a world he had no other connections to. He’s only ever have such a touched look in his eyes some time later, in a much more questionable context, by Yhwach’s request.
For Ivan, the situation is slightly different. He too had no clear relationship with his emotions but after surviving in the slums until he found himself in Anakt Garden. So seeing a child like Till, incredibly expressive about his feelings, must have intrigued him enough to follow him where he and Mizi were faced with a wagyein guard.
But there is something that amazed Ivan before Till. The meteor shower, a common theme in his expression of affection for Till.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While being held over a building, Ivan took more notice of the stars that seemed so brilliant in the darkness of the night sky. So much more brilliant than him, perhaps, in his mind. And what I notice most is the red in his eyes, a symbol of the depth of his admiration for something, and later someone.
As Paratise implies, the moment Ivan fell in love with Till is seeing him have the courage to stand up against the guard. His courage, an expression of how brave and warm Till is despite his outside appearance, inspired Ivan like the meteor shower did by his brilliant it looked to see someone be so expressive in a world where humans are pets and have no say over their lives. The meteor shower is reflected in his eyes seeing Till so alive, unlike him. It inspired him to change, just slightly too, in a world he’d be better off going on quietly as he always did before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The look of admiration in Ivan’s eyes represents what will be Ivan’s future: observing Till, noticing how gentle and sweet Till is at heart, even if it’s solely shown to Mizi, and loving that as much as he loves the complicated and rough relationship he had with Till. Really, as Paratise says, Ivan loved knowing Till’s sharper edges. It was a sight solely for him, seeing Till’s reaction to his provocations. But Ivan’s lack of care for his own person had him fail to see in Till how much he cared about Ivan too, which left Ivan the same hypocrite he accused Sua of being.

So this is a real, real reach up there.
However.
Could it be IvanTill is the more toxic, alien invasion dystopia version of JugoBazz?? Like, if Yhwach was Unsha and Jugram was Ivan, I can see Jugram adapting well to Alien Stage with all the modeling gigs Unsha put Ivan through. And I can see him being intrigued by an emotionally expressive and inwardly gentle person like Till/Bazz.
Am I delusional? I don’t know, yeah, probably. Did Paratise dropping give the Alien Stage brainworms the food they needed to chew on the Bleach brainworms?? Yeah, probably.
But regardless, this is MY page and I’ll feed whoever shares the delusion and comes my way.

The cramps are really summoning the brainworms lmao but I really hope in cour 4 there’s a bit more emphasis on Jugram’s feelings in the Uryu and Jugram fight. Like how in the opening there was Bazz smiling but without seeing his eyes, I want to see Jugram’s perspective of his relationship with Bazz in Silbern. It’s heavily implied he looked out for Bazz, but what did that look like? Did his attendant if she shows up in cour 4 keep an eye on him when he couldn’t? Did he ever see Bazz hanging out with other Sternritters and feel conflicted over it? And the button! When did Jugram have it engraved on his sword and did Yhwach ever comment on it?
And maybe this is just hoping for too much, but I want to know what did Jugram see that made him think seeing the future is a terrible gift. I have a feeling it involved the button somehow, since Bazz was dead by then.

I consider breath of life by Florence and the machine to be Jugram’s theme song and seven devils by Florence and the machine to be Bazz’s btw.
