A reminder for those who never heard this anecdote: years ago, someone in the BC fandom sent in a fake blind just to see if CDAN would publish it. Spoiler alert, he did, with no follow up or even the smallest attempt to verify it. It was an attempt to teach the septics that he was not credible, but of course they refused to believe it because it did not fit their narrative.

I don't care how many newer versions of the Holmes brothers are made. These are mine. Time may have moved on and searches for "Sherlock" may bring newer actors, but everytime someone likes or reblogs one of my old posts, my heart does a little leap. The BBC Sherlock fandom still lives. People still care about these characters. They are still loved and we still want more ❤️

Same thing happens to me. The list is long right now, so I'll just nod in sympathy.

So, every time I plan to start looking after myself better e.g. planning to start a new exercise class, something happens to ruin it.

This week I've had to have a melanoma removed then I missed a step, fell down stairs and dislocated my shoulder. I'm pretty much bruised all over and I have a large gash on my arm where two of my silver bracelets went through the skin.

Doesn't look like I'll be starting a somatic yoga programme on Monday.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?
